Traits of a great wife?

Congratulations!! :) I'm very happy for you, internet stranger and I wish you a wonderful marriage. Kudos to wanting to be a great wife - you can do it! I think a man would be more able to give a definitive answer on this :D but I'll give it a try from what I observed with my husband. I'm not calling myself great - I am still working on myself! - but I am listing things that my husband thinks are great traits

1) and I cannot emphasize this enough, being a great cook. You want his friends to come over and wish to come back again because of how good the food is. You want him to 'meh' at the idea of eating at a restaurant, and rather eat a homemade meal with you.

2) being the soft spot of his life. No one comforts men at work, no one gives them a shoulder to lean on when they fail, no one cares. Be the person who's happy to see him after a long day of work and ready to give him physical affection, a back rub or whatever else he feels takes his mind off of stress

3) being a cheerleader, being his absolute fan. If he does something great, you should be the first person he turns to tell, because you're his #1 fan

4) being attractive and DTF. You're not supposed to be dressy and cleavage-on-the-ready for girls night, or for work. That's what should be going on at home. The modern world has it all backwards, women look stunning outside, and once they go home, they take off their heels and makeup, put their hair in a messy bun and look like a crummy troll. Nah - the public didn't put a ring on your finger, so why be out there looking good for strangers? Look your best at home and for your husband's eyes.
