I see women on here that are against texting for long, i see the reasoning and i agree. It makes you his special-free therapist to unpack emotional baggage without giving you anything back and it kind of 'speeds up' sex between the two of you because you already 'know' each other (through text).

I've had it happen to me a few times. A guy asks me out on a date and we set a day and sometimes even time and i don't text him 1 week before the date and he doesn't text me either. The day of the date comes, do i arrive? do i ask him the night before if it's still relevant? do i expect a text from him asking if it's still relevant? what do i do? do i always set a time instead of just setting the day?

I feel like texting a bit during the week helps ensure that the date will happen and sometimes even find out details about him that might make you change your mind and you might cancel the date but i might be wrong. What do i do? set a date 2-3 days after we texted instead of a week? it could still happen. I feel like if they haven't texted they forgot or aren't that interested. Are they only supposed to text to ensure that the date is still relevant and no small talk? what if i don't show up and he does? do i apologize or just move on? i'm not sure.
