Nonetheless Married men also have more mouths to feed so are less likely to be flight risks.

Research has shown that married men receive more invitations for job interviews and higher salary offers than single men with identical resumes.

Reasons that employers favor married men may include the belief that married men deserve a "family wage."

I find it weird that employers would pay more money to hire someone who is married. And a 3.5% diffrence is definitely within the margin of error and randomization.

That is a hypothesis. I have another: they recognize the fact that men are pushed to be the providers in the family, and therefore will be more likely than women to work more and more overtime. And because society is biased in favor of women and does not place this burden on women to the same degree, these expectations are not placed on women.

That's not discrimination, That's logic.

Married guy needs more money because he has family to feed (no mater works his wife or not,or if they have children, they certainly have some plans that demand more money like buying a house, renting an app, etc etc). Therefore, to get him interested in working for you, you should afford him enough money for him to agree.

I'm other words, married guys are "more expensive" for hire than single, therefore pay difference.
