I think that if I want to risk my health to have a kid, my partner and I should be married. In Russia it saves a lot of paper work and it's just safer both for everyone involved. If I wanted to have a kid out of wedlock, I'd just use donor's sperm.

It's not necessarily about quality of partner. My ex was crazy to have a kid but I didn't want one until we were settled.

We break up and she's pregnant within 6 months. Dude wasn't even attractive. He was just available and paid her attention.

I don't think she was low value. Some women can just go baby crazy. If you're around when it happens. Surprise, you're a dad!

In the UK it is pretty common for millennials to get a mortgage together and have children without getting married.

I'd they break up they just split assets and work out custody/child support either themselves or via the courts.

I personally don't see any benefit to getting married. I can live as a family unit without the paper work
