The main reason I had to deal with psychologists was during my custody fight. The female psychologists were all hard core extreme radical feminists. One even conspired with my ex to help her get custody.

I would never go to a woman psychologist, ever.

You alleged:

One even conspired with my ex to help her get custody.

I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice.

If I were you I would consider:

42 U.S. Code § 1983 - Civil action for deprivation of rights

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/42/1983

Possible criminal conspiracy against rights:

"If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or"

18 U.S. Code § 241.Conspiracy against rights

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/241

Any conspiracy to kidnap may be racketeering:

(1)“racketeering activity” means (A) any act or threat involving murder, kidnapping, gambling, arson, robbery, bribery, extortion, dealing in obscene matter, or dealing in a controlled substance or listed chemical (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act), which is chargeable under State law and punishable by imprisonment for more than one year;

18 U.S. Code § 1961.Definitions

Other possible federal crimes.

State child support, parenting time, and child protection are all primarily funded under federal law Title IV-D and Title IV-E. Consider filing complaints.

I might consider a complaint against a psychologist who I felt acted in violation of their ethical duties:

Complaints Regarding APA Members

APA has made changes to its adjudication program to better serve individuals who believe they have been harmed by a psychologist. Our focus now will be on providing information on other potential avenues for resolution that have a greater ability to take a desired action against an unethical psychologist. We only accept complaints against an APA member psychologist if there is no alternative forum to hear the complaint. If another forum takes an action against the member, the APA can review the matter at that time.

I kept my mouth shut. I learned about the conspiracy from my ex when she bragged about it. The custody evaluator told her that when my son turned 12, he was at this point 3, he would want to go live with her and at that time the custody evaluator would give her custody.

She took me to court when he turned 12 with a firm request for the same evaluator. I put down in my court docs about the conspiracy. The judge ruled that. it be a neutral evaluator and my luck was with me...it was a male. My ex didn't want to go to the evaluation. The new evaluator said if she didn't go he'd do the evaluation without her.

She moved 3 states away with her boyfriend the following week.

I honestly do not care about the balance of the genders, but feminists started this stupid war first. We need to fight and discredit feminism online and off line. If they want Affirmative Action and gender quota, we should also demand the same thing. But to be honest, this whole culture war is so meaningless and exhausting. Feminists have done a real good job to make people's time and resources wasted.

[–]Angryasfk 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’d agree with that. It’s clear evidence that feminism isn’t for “equality” but female domination despite what they say.

[–]Angryasfk 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yet again proof that feminism is NOT about equality! Women are less than 50% of engineers and STEM students - sexism! Discrimination! Need affirmative action in hiring for these positions! Most have special measures (including lowering entrance marks for women) to boost their numbers in STEM! Eighty percent of psychologists are women? Great for diversity! Men obviously just aren’t interested or good enough to do it! Certainly no need to do anything to encourage men to study it or get positions in the profession!

And don’t talk about scaling back any of the measures to boost women in university either. They still apparently need more women, despite them being 60% and growing!

That's good news — it's great you have found someone to help you and I wish you all the best.

I wonder: is she younger or older? Because the young ones are now being taught at college, that masculinity is a mental illness; and all the world's troubles, including men's, is the fault of toxic masculinity and the patriarchy.

Does no one realize that this is a result of toxic masculinity? Teach boys not to cry and to never show emotion and then you wonder why none of them become therapists?

[–]Ok-Efficiency1842 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Fuck off. Women being given every college grant because they are so "oppressed" has nothing to do with masculinity. More women graduate college because college has become intentionally hostile to men.

To ignore the constant suppression of men's education is pure ignorance at this point.

[–]Bubugacz -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Fuck off. Women being given every college grant because they are so "oppressed" has nothing to do with masculinity. More women graduate college because college has become intentionally hostile to men.

What college grants do they get that men don't? And does that difference accurately represent the disparity in genders in higher education?

There are plenty for women only and likewise there are plenty for men only.

If you mean federal grant money, there's the PELL grant which is available to both men and women.

What's the conspiracy here?

How is college "intentionally hostile" to men? And how are men's educations being "suppressed?"

[–]Angryasfk 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Plenty for men only? Seriously? Please name them!

[–]Bubugacz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You: Plenty for men only? Seriously? Please name them!

Me: Here's a website that lists many. https://www.scholarships.com/financial-aid/college-scholarships/scholarships-by-type/scholarships-for-men/

You: (if I ignore this I get to keep being a victim)

[–]Angryasfk 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That list you gave me included the Churchill Scholarship. But this is not exclusive to men, see here: https://news.yale.edu/2020/01/30/two-seniors-both-women-win-churchill-scholarships-work-stem

Whoops! How many others listed are also open to women?

Most of the ones that were exclusively male are athletic scholarships or a few small fraternity based ones.

You’re not seriously going to deny that additional support and other measures have been established to increase female enrolment and participation in higher education are you? My view is why do women still require special help now they are the substantial majority? Any response to that?

[–]Bubugacz -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So how do you suggest we go about it then if this is the cause of the issue? What do you think needs to be done to fix this?

[–]Bubugacz -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago* (20 children) | Copy Link

Don't be afraid to talk about feelings and don't teach your kids to suppress them. It's really not rocket science.

Edit: lol this advice got downvoted?

[–]reddut_gang 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Right. So you've changed one parent. That parent's kid goes to school and gets bullied. Ends up with the same result. No major change to the whole of society. You make it sound easy but if it were it would have already happened.

[–]Bubugacz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

🤦‍♂️ Jesus Christ you people are impossible.

Ok, fine. Tell your children to never cry and to suppress their feelings. See where that gets you. And then post shit like this to Reddit and cry about 80% of therapists being women.

Might as well just give up now if everything is awful and you're so oppressed. There really is no winning for you victims is there?

[–]reddut_gang 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Lol. You have no awareness or critical thinking. "Just cry and every problem is solved." What a shit take with zero nuance. You clearly have no idea how things work and think everything is absolute. It's not as simple as teaching your kid to cry. Because parents aren't the only influence on their child. It doesn't take a genius to understand that. But honestly, I can't expect much better out of a feminist. Common sense isn't really their strong suit.

[–]Bubugacz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

"Just cry and every problem is solved." What a shit take with zero nuance. You clearly have no idea how things work and think everything is absolute

Lol you wanna talk about nuance and absolutes?

I literally said "don't be afraid to talk about feelings and don't teach kids to suppress them" and you took that as "just cry and every problem is solved."

What a fucking stretch lol

That's definitely a nuanced take that isn't taken to a bullshit absolute...

[–]reddut_gang 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes, because I asked you how to fix this, and that's what you replied. The thing is, I'm not asking you an individual scale solution, because one man can't change the tide. I'm asking what we can do on a systematic widespread level to help combat this inequality.

[–]Bubugacz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm asking what we can do on a systematic widespread level to help combat this inequality.

If enough men start to learn that emotions aren't bad, that will lead to widespread systematic change.

The stigma needs to die. Men have emotions. Men can, and do, benefit from therapy. It doesn't make them weak or unmanly.

Put more therapists in schools. Create curriculum to teach kids about coping with tough emotions in healthy ways. Lots of states are already doing this. Colorado schools implemented "social-emotional learning" in several districts, and within a single school year bullying went down, detentions went down, number of fights went down, etc.

And yet here we are in this thread saying this kind of shit:

I think they're telling you to cry your way to success?

Maybe the problem is coming from all the morons saying crap like that right here in this very sub.

Change needs to start from within. Men need to get over themselves and acknowledge that feelings exist.

There are way too many people in here who are literally standing in the way of changing things that will make things better for all men.

[–]reddut_gang 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Colorado schools implemented "social-emotional learning" in several districts

What year was this?

Change needs to start from within. Men need to get over themselves and acknowledge that feelings exist.

I'm 99% sure that most men already acknowledge that feelings exist. What a strawman. But acknowledging that feelings exist, as if we already didn't, isn't going to solve all our problems. You are greatly exaggerating the stoicism of the average man. We aren't all Bruce Wayne wannabes.

91 percent of men who committed suicide had seeked therapy beforehand. Do you think these men thought going to a therapist was "weak" or "unmanly"?

Therapy failed them. You attribute all the blame to the men themselves, saying they need to get over themselves, but how do you expect them to do so in the face of a society that will tear them down for it?

You don't seem to be understanding. The reason men contain their emotions is not because of ego or pride. The reason men contain their emotions and are taught to is because society will destroy them if they don't. A child will be mercilessly mocked and bullied at his school. And even as an adult, a man being overly emotional can be detrimental to his reputation.

On the topic of gender expectations, men are expected to be strong as well. Mouth breathers will cry "toxic masculinity" but in reality, this expectation is born out of necessity. A weak, emotional boy is a prime target for bullies. What is "acknowledging that feelings exist" going to do for his situation? Jack shit. But if he gets stronger, he can defend himself. Stoicism is a good thing sometimes. Life throws a lot of bullshit at you and being strong and resilient will help you overcome it. Problem is, society keeps throwing oodles upon oodles of bullshit at men and there's a certain point where they just can't take it anymore.

For the record, I don't necessarily care much about college underrepresantation anyway. Seems to me like more boys would rather not have to deal with a gargantuan amount of debt for a useless degree, then whine to the government about it. But really, the only one crying here is you. Bitching about "toxic masculinity". There's nothing that screams being a crybaby more than crying about things that don't exist. Honestly, if all our problems stemmed from the supposed inability to cry, we wouldn't have any. It's a downright nonsensical notion that "toxic masculinity" is to blame. If anything, it's a lack of masculinity that hurts a child.

Also find it funny that according to you, the users of this sub are doing exactly what you want them to, but you're ridiculing them for it.

[–]Angryasfk 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I’m assuming you’re a woman.

Boys are picked on at school if they cry easily and are seen as “vulnerable”, and thus seen as targets, and this is by boys AND girls! Plenty of girls make fun of and bully “crybaby boys”, taunts like “mummy still loves you” and all that. You’ve seen that surely! Or did you wear a brown paper bag on your head when you were at school?

In any case you’ve failed to demonstrate any connection between this and being a psychologist! Would you be happy if I were to declare girls don’t enter STEM because they are so emotional and thus are attracted to the “caring professions” and find the number based nature of STEM “too sterile”? Oh wait, feminism is like a semi-conductor, it only goes one way!

[–]Bubugacz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I am actually a man, and guess what else, I'm literally a licensed therapist 😂😂😂

Boys are picked on at school if they cry easily and are seen as “vulnerable”, and thus seen as targets, and this is by boys AND girls!

Of course kids get picked on in school, that's a part of life.

And this isn't 1920 anymore. Kids are more accepting these days - I should know, I was a school based therapist in an elementary school for 3 years.

Kids aren't getting picked on for crying anymore, fortunately we've evolved a bit as a species.

Regardless, there are ways to deal with and work through being bullied, and those ways don't include telling kids to hide their feelings and never ever cry.

Plenty of girls make fun of and bully “crybaby boys”, taunts like “mummy still loves you” and all that. You’ve seen that surely!

Yes, I did see it, and that's still not an excuse to tell boys that feelings are bad! 🤦‍♂️

Would you be happy if I were to declare girls don’t enter STEM because they are so emotional and thus are attracted to the “caring professions” and find the number based nature of STEM “too sterile”? Oh wait, feminism is like a semi-conductor, it only goes one way!

Have you read the comments in this thread? Here's a great example that's upvoted:

And we still have work to do, those 20% who are men aren't just going to leave on their own.

You dumbasses don't even want men to be psychologists, and yet here you are crying about it.

Women, on the other hand, do want to be in STEM, so they're working to change the system so they have those opportunities.

How disingenuous is it to decry the lack of men in psychology and then in the same breath say men shouldn't be psychologists at all anyway?

You can't have it both ways. Get over yourselves.

[–]Angryasfk 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you’re a therapist you’re not very perceptive. The talk about those “20% are not going to leave on their own” is clearly sarcasm indicating they think feminists won’t be happy until every profession is 100% female. But I think you knew that.

And 1920? Please! Do you, or do you not think cyberbullying is a thing? Boys who show emotion too easily are going to get picked on because bullies and those who gang up with them pick on the vulnerable and those whom they think will react. Or does this massive experience you have show that bullies pick on the boys who are great at sport, and don’t react?

Finally the system does not stop women going into STEM. And the proposals include lowering the entrance requirements for women! How is being expected to have the same level of academic achievement as the men a terrible obstacle that women need to change? As for hiring. There’s been affirmative action in all the top employers in engineering, and it’s been going on for the last 2 decades at least. Not according to you. Btw the women who want all this are mostly women who don’t want to do STEM - which is why they went and did stuff like gender studies! My concern is that feminists are quite happy with 80% of clinical psychologists being women, or the major medical and law students being female, but demand priority action because men are still the majority in STEM, and you are incapable of even seeing the double standard.

[–]Bubugacz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

you are incapable of even seeing the double standard.

I see reality. I see women who work well with men. I work with female therapists who value the men and women both in the workplace. I have never ever heard a woman say they want 100% women in psychology. In fact, just the other day a female therapist working with someone I know, when learning I was a therapist, was thrilled to be able to send me referrals "because we need more males in the field."

You see the world through your biased I'm-a-victim glasses, and no matter what will always assume women have bad intentions and hate all men.

That's not reality and it's not healthy.

[–]Angryasfk 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Some of us can differentiate between “feminism” and “women”! They’re not synonymous!.

[–]Angryasfk 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But the way, who’s telling boys that feelings are bad? The kids that bully them, not the parents! Some parents may take that attitude, but one of the effective of bullying is to affect the behaviour of the kids being attacked. If showing emotion gets them bullied, many (most?) are going to eventually try to hold it in so the attacks will stop.

[–]Bubugacz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

But the way, who’s telling boys that feelings are bad?

Literally the men in this sub are.

I've never heard a woman tell boys feelings are bad. But I've heard it here in this very thread plenty.

Look at my comment here for very specific examples.

It's the toxic culture of subs like this and men like you that perpetuate that myth.

Perhaps because it’s dismissive bs?

Dismissive, how?

None of them? Ever hear of Karl Jung? He essentially founded the discipline! What about Jordan Peterson?

Something tells me that you wouldn’t claim the relative lack of women in STEM is because they’re not interested. Instead feminists demand special measures be taken to boost their numbers. I’m not concerned that 80% of psychologists are women so much as that it exposes the blatant double standards of feminism. Something that’s clearly beyond you.

Literally this post says 20% of psychologists are men. Obviously I didn't literally mean none of them were, you moron 🤦‍♂️

But I can't expect a Peterson fan to understand hyperbole.

Why is it always Jung and Peterson fans who are this brainwashed?

Let me spell it out for you: oftentimes dumb dumb people tell their sons that crying is "bad" and "not manly." And they're taught to hide their feelings and never talk about them, because that might "make them look weak."

And when these boys who are raised this way eventually grow up, they have no interest in becoming psychologists, that's why there are fewer male psychologists. 20% vs 80% who are women.

See? Do you understand now?

And that idea that emotions are bad and must be suppressed, that's called "toxic masculinity" and it's a bad thing.

Do you understand what it means when something is a "bad thing?"

Something tells me that you wouldn’t claim the relative lack of women in STEM is because they’re not interested.

The relative lack of women in STEM is due to exactly the same reason, except the inverse.

Dumbass gender expectations say boys shouldn't have feelings, and girls shouldn't like math and science.

Which is why feminists and regular people with common sense all want to change those expectations and encourage everyone to do whatever they want.

That's right - they want to change things in a way that'll benefit both men and women! GASP is that even possible?!

Boys can be therapists and girls can be scientists. Why the hell not?

Instead feminists demand special measures be taken to boost their numbers.

What special measures?

And what's wrong with advocating for themselves and pushing for things that'll help them?

Women want more women in STEM, so they are fighting to make that happen.

If men find it unfair that there is a relative lack of men in psychology, why the fuck aren't they doing something to change that?"

Literally in this very thread this is an upvoted comment:

And we still have work to do, those 20% who are men aren't just going to leave on their own.

How disingenuous is it to declare you're oppressed because there are fewer men in psychology but then literally say men shouldn't be in psychology in the first place? Do you see how ridiculous that is?

I’m not concerned that 80% of psychologists are women so much as that it exposes the blatant double standards of feminism. Something that’s clearly beyond you.

What double standard?? OP pasted this link in the comments that literally lists all the ways men are getting "special measures" to boost their numbers:

What is currently being done to help reduce the gender imbalance in clinical psychology? Some universities are amending selection procedures (e.g. KCL). Others are going out to schools and colleges to promote clinical psychology to men, destigmatising the profession, such as Newcastle and Leeds Universities. University of Bath is amending staff training, and from 2015 each male applicant has been interviewed by at least one male interviewer. Southampton has stated on the Clearing House website that they are seeking a ‘gender mix where possible’.KCL have amended their selection procedure for the upcoming 2022 cohort, whereby ‘male sex’ is a protected characteristic alongside disability and race.

Jesus. I knew you were pretty retarded, but this is next level. Are you incapable of detecting satire or sarcasm?

Oh look, you conveniently ignored the rest of my arguments.

[–]reddut_gang 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not my argument so I shouldn't stick my nose in, but damn that part of the comment hurt my head. Noticed a bit of tribalism in your comment though.
