For women:

leaving the nest, a.k.a. the "freshman 15"
getting into a longterm relationship
getting married
having a child (repeatable event)
suffering a lower extremity injury
turning 30 (lowered metabolism, gets worse as everyone gets older)

All these events are an extra 0 lbs to 30 lbs each. If you're just starting to date a young childless woman and she's perfectly thick, she'll probably be a walrus in ten years if you fully commit. Skinny isn't just a healthier and more attractive body type, it's room for her to grow a bit without becoming disgusting

The only physical advantage near-Wall 30s women hold over younger 20s women is if they're still skinny / slim, they're much less likely to balloon up in the future. Younger women are a higher-risk dice roll, the younger the person the higher the risk
