The feminist movement has long historical ties to racism. The feminist campaign for women’s suffrage had black women standing in the back of the line and made openly racist statements towards black men.

They sell this stuff in stores. A how to book on "crafting allegations". Stuff like this is produced by women for women, but they expect us to BelieveAllWomen?

Cool. So did they fire her and give him the job?

[–]sgt_oddball_17 101 points102 points103 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

3 year old story. The events they describe were from 2011, so I'm guessing "no".

In such cases - it’s the employer who is liable not the employee who got the reward - unless the employee got such a reward due to criminal means.

Gender discrimination is a crime.

[–]Hrydziac 21 points22 points23 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah… by the company.

[–]Pedroo214 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, it's not her fault. The company should pay, not her.

[–]heyyy-kiddo 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why fire her? They should fire the upper management that is responsible for promotions and/or HR staff.

The fault lies in whoever admits this shit ,not exactly on the employee that accepted.

In a way the company is the one losing on qualified people in the end. I think if you are talented enough and your company promoted on discrimination you should drop in your 2 weeks notice and change jobs....it's their loss in the end.

“ men don’t get discriminated against”.....

[–]feluto 38 points39 points40 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is extremely common, granted i can only speak from personal experience but every female boss i have ever had has prioritized female coworkers for authority/promotions/bonuses, treated them like perfect angels etc. but on the other hand they were extremely condescending, rude and unfriendly to the men (But decided that only men should do the harder physical labor tasks of course) even my girl coworkers noticed this and we frequently talked about it.

One time i even got fired for saying my at the time boss should speak to me with more respect (started no joke screaming at me over the phone for getting strep and calling in sick 2 days in advance with a doc note in hand lol). In the end it worked out great, got paid for my sick days + unused vacation and started working for their competition a week later

My advice is never work for people like that if you spot the red flags, if its too late then dont quit - just stand up for your rights and maybe sue them like this man did. Worst case you get a paid vacation.

"I hope the current decision doesn't call into the question the principle of encouraging the promotion of women," she added.

You don't raise women by knocking men down. Discrimination is discrimination.

[–]enigma2shts 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Awesome! Textbook feminism. Fight " discrimination" with discrimination! "We did it girls, we sure showed them we mean equality! , Give me all the perks I think you men have!!"

[–]The_Airwolf_Theme 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I work in tech. I know for a fact that all other things being equal, my company would prefer to hire a woman over a man for the sake of 'greater diversity' and you better believe thousands of companies are out there doing the same thing.

[–]McFeely_Smackup 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She said the appointment was "carried out according to the procedure prescribed by law," but admitted that the "mass underrepresentation of women" played a role in the decision-making process. "I hope the current decision doesn't call into the question the principle of encouraging the promotion of women," she added.

this person has learned nothing.

Means the fee was too small,a % of company profits would be a better solution, this way investors would get wind of the shit that is under the lid and give the boot to whoever thought of abandoning the meritocracy system that a company should promotione based on.

As an investor i'd be pissed they throw away human resources(actually valuable ones).

It's tough to find qualified, dedicated people.

[–]YesYesYesVeryGood 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Misandrists will disagree: the result of this case is actual feminism.

The irony being that this constantly happens to women.

Downvoted for truth? You fucking cowards.

[–]feluto 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

'haha x discrimination is ok because y happened earlier ;))'

please stfu, none of it is fine

[–]Livelikeadisaster -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

That’s not what I said, but you want it to be so you can feel victimized. How pathetic.

[–]feluto 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No, you were trying to minimize the issue because it happened to a man and we should be talking about it happening to women instead, how ‘ironic’ right? That it finally happens to a man?

Coward move lying about it on top

[–]Credible_Cognition 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Really? Do you have any articles like this one?

[–]elonsmusketer 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

source?

[–]SageBus 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes , that's what she thinks. That someone else is being picked over her for unfair reasons. If it's a man, it's sexism, if it's another woman , it's because she slept with the boss. Anything but looking at the actual signs (ridiculous amount of sick days, getting late by default, 5pm rushing trhough the door be damned deadlines etc).

[–]heyyy-kiddo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women can get an interview just by applying. Also in HR I've seen only women,4 job sites, more than 10 companies, only women in HR.....and HR kind of gatekeeps the needed people out based on hiring quotas much to the actually manager's disdain.

Most managers would recruit themselves if given the option ,but few companies allow them to have a direct say in the first screening round.

Edit:Also there is a labour shortage ,but nobody seems to want to employ anymore, they want cheap workforce(look at IBM and it's shoddy R&D + HR practicies).

[–]Livelikeadisaster -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women can get an interview just by applying? You imbeciles really are just angry incels, huh? That’s not how the world works, kid.

[+]Ones__Complement -10 points-9 points-8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Eh, get government out of private concerns. If these companies are making poor organizational decisions, let the market punish them. This is just more nanny state bullshit.
