Funny, I just had a conversation with someone about a similar topic a few days ago! I’ll share my thoughts again here:

The thing about feminine confidence when it comes to dating is that it is equally overrated and underrated in its importance. A lot of women think being super confident and sure of ourselves is a necessity for men to be attracted to us, but that’s a misconception that stems from a lack of understanding on how the opposite gender operates. You don’t have to be a “bad bitch” for men to feel attracted to you. Being icy cool and having an unfazed disposition is not what it takes win most men over - in fact, these things may even take away from his protective instincts for you. There is no need to force yourself to completely hide your vulnerability, because vulnerability (when it’s appropriate) is what makes men want to love and protect us. Knowing the pitfalls of having an inflated self-esteem is important to keep our egos in check.

However, and it’s a pretty big however, the importance of female confidence is also underrated in this part of the internet because we do need enough confidence and self-esteem to put ourselves out there and to function properly. If you are too insecure to try The Art of the Bad Excuse, or if you cannot talk to men without shutting down, or if you are too scared to flirt with them and show them you’re attracted to them and invested in them, then you won’t be able to meet enough potential mates or win them over.

You also have to be mentally stable enough to show that you can be a stable and healthy partner in the long run. You have to be confident enough so that you can be intimate and sensual (when the time is right) without trying to hide your body or without being so in your head about your insecurities that you can’t enjoy this extremely emotional experience. You have to be confident enough to know that if this particular man doesn’t align with your goals and values, you can still find another because you don’t think this is the best you can ever get. Having confidence and a healthy self-esteem isn’t something you do so that you can attract men - it’s something you do for yourself so that you don’t miss important opportunities and so that you can perform effectively.

Once I got help for my anxiety and low self-esteem issues in therapy, I had the time and freedom to focus on actually having girl game instead of being mentally preoccupied. I was able to be in the right mindset to be playful and childlike, which drew men in and made them want to stay.

I can't say as far as dating life, but in general day-to-day interactions, it was almost magical. The way I carried myself after reading that book; random people stopped me in the store and were like "wow, you're beautiful" or "have you been on the bachelor?". I'm literally average at best; I didn't change my hair/clothes/makeup in any significant way, and I was probably in a rush/had RBF all those times. The mindset of "I'm not the center of THE world but I am the center of mine" for some reason just shone through. It was so strange. In a short week after reading it I got more male attention than I ever had in a month.

I think it's worth a read and completely on the mark; I think other RP-esque people like Kevin Samuels etc may espouse being not necessarily a doormat but much more passive/submissive but this book was honestly quite empowering and made women take accountability for their own dating life and shortcomings.
