The Women only wagon debate in France. SamaelET November 10, 2021 111 upvotes /r/MensRights SNCF : Former national public transport company This happened during gilets jaunes there was a lack of trains and therefore some jostling. The security agents at this station decided to make a wagon for "vulnerable" people : children, disabled, old people and obviously the most vulnerable of all : Women. But people thought it was a women only wagon to protect women from men. No one opposing the idea talked about how sexist it was for men. They were more about "not loosing against patriarchy". No idea if the compagny forbid their agents to do it again. You can look at the replied the tweets supporting it, tons of men supporting it. https://www-franceinter-fr.translate.goog/societe/des-rames-reservees-aux-femmes-dans-les-transports-mauvaise-idee-pour-les-associations-feministes?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=nui Edit : France long distance train (with dortoir to sleep) have women only car now. https://detours-canal-fr.translate.goog/la-sncf-lance-des-wagons-dedies-aux-femmes-pour-les-trains-de-nuit/?_x_tr_sl=fr&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=nui Boys older than 12 years old are excluded.
