my youngest daughter looks at herself in the mirror when she cries. she learns what type of crying gets me or my ex to do what she wants. (shes 5)

shes not crying because shes sad, shes crying because she didnt get what she wanted.

Agree with OP! (and I'm a woman)

I come from a long line of Weepers, they were called to weddings and funerals to create an emotional atmosphere. We can start crying from our heart, feeling pain, happiness and shedding tears - for others, not for ourself.

Then there are highly manipulative women who start to 'ugly cry' immediately when they are put on a tough spot. They can also pretend to 'cry' to get compassion from someone else, telling lies about how they were treated and blah blah blah.

Lol, the best was when an evil female politician, who was a separatist, tried to guilt other politicians for being cold regarding the amount of immigrants. Her eyes were blazing out of hate and her mouth was thrashing and belittling other politicians.

After her another politician took the stand. He pointed out immediately, that this separatist and her people refused to let war immigrants in the country, some of them vowing to take up arms and shoot the poor immigrants. Politicians had to make a deal with these separatists, that not one immigrant is sent to their district, which calmed them down.

The female politician understood that she was outed and had lost the debate, so what does she do?

Starts to loudly ¨'ugly cry', so much that she can't get one word out of her mouth, and everybody knew that she was acting. It all happened in front of cameras during a session.

People could not stop laughing and ridiculing her for pretending to cry, immediately after another politician responded to her hateful comment with documented facts, and she could not wiggle herself out of it - except taking the manipulative tool women have; ugly cry.

As a weeper crying comes easily, but it is always genuine and has never anything to do with myself. It can be something beautiful, selfless gestures, bottomless sorrow etc., but it never has anything to do with me.

Once a month I need to cry out, all it takes is an emotional film where actors act real emotions or reading in the paper about childless adopting parents waiting for their Chinese babies in the airport - it opens a flood of tears even to this day.

And I always make sure to be alone, so that I can cry my eyes out without anyone seeing. It purifies the soul, it is a good cry and when the heart is full, you never know what triggers the cry, nor do you care about it. The crying itself is healing, as if the soul would cry.

So men, be aware of manipulative women!

To men I would suggest the following when a woman cries in front of him:

Observe in silence.
Use your eyes, don't listen to what she says.
If she covers her face with her hands, observe if she tries to peek in order to watch your reaction. Peeking while crying is a definite sign of manipulation.
Listen to your emotions. If the cry is real, then you should feel a huge wave of compassion - without even having to listen to what she cries about. If you feel that you have to 'force' a compassionate emotion out of you, she is manipulating you.
Immediately after she stops crying, look at her eyes. If she has manipulated you, then she has dry eyes. Don't fall for the sobbing or the running nose, the eyes are important. If her mascara is running all over her face and her tears are falling even after stopping to cry, then it is most likely a genuine cry.
Your emotions should come naturally. Not forced. It is not wrong to be emotionless in front of a manipulating woman.
Observe, observe and observe.
