Nobody would believe it. Sometimes people don’t even believe the first consent. She would conveniently forget. You would need to get it in writing.

I don’t believe there is anything good about feminism that seeks to enslave men in name of a women’s right to choose.
It doesn’t make sense to respect women who treat men like an ATM.
Feminists feel the same way about forced parenthood responsibilities as they feel about forced genital mutilation. As long as it's not happening to women, they don't care.

Are there women who make a living from having babies? Are there men who have not figured that out? Are there things you can do to keep from having a problem? Sure. (Not trying to be cynical, but a dose of reality sometimes helps.) 🙂😐🙂

Nah, i aint payin no woman for raising a kid that i aint apart off. She can be a single mother but you are still paying child support.

What you are describing is not really double consent. It's just consent.

I thought we were already living in a world with conditional consent; where consent can be conditioned upon certain criteria such as wearing a condom. I see no reason why "terminate any resulting pregnancy" cannot be a condition of consent.

Then when a women gets pregnant after having sex with that condition, she has two options (1) terminate the pregnancy, or (2) be guilty of rape.

I don’t think there’s any way to consent to having sex without consenting to some possibility of being a parent because there’s no absolute guarantee pregnancy can be avoided. When you have sex you take that risk.

What you’re proposing is essentially that men never be held accountable for any of their actions. Should men be able to go about their lives and have their fun with zero consequence while allowing 100% of the burden to fall on women? That doesn’t sound right to me.

I think in general it’s rather morally reprehensible to leave a woman without support and a child without any type of father figure even though you had sex knowing full well what the risks are. You are part of the equation as the child could not exist without your involvement. So yeah you need to take some of the responsibility.

Moot point. Any male right to consent to sex or parenthood is dubious at best. Neither really exists.

We started this discussion over the idea of double consent, not the rights of a father after the birth of a child. They are different discussions. I agree that if a father is supporting his child, he should have the right to raise the child should the mother not choose to do so. That is different from expecting a mother to either abort a pregnancy or raise a child without financial support from the child's father because of some verbal agreement the parents made before having sex. If a child is born and both parents are fulfilling their responsibilities, they should both expect to have rights concerning the child. Mothers usually devote more in terms of time and energy, fathers by way of support. But that is often not the case. The positions may even be reversed. However, should one parent relinquish their responsibilities, that should impact the level of their input into decisions made concerning the child. That is only sensible.

I agree 100%. That or you can only try to get child support if you were married. A man should be able to “abort” by saying he’s not down to be a father
