That's the whole damn point!! When men screw up, we go to jail, but when women do it, all of a sudden its time for mercy, show some sympathy, well she has it tough. All we want is for it to be fair for everyone, which its not even close to in society right now.

Hell, I see lots of posts from women who think men should be tossed in prison for walking in the same side of the street as them! but if a woman assaults or rapes a guy, the excuse come rolling out and all if a sudden its time for sympathy.

When have you ever seen a story which even mentions a guy getting a break due to mental problems or a rough childhood? I've never seen one, but I've seen thousands where women's actions are forgiven and dismissed.

To make it worse, we are constantly vilified as the 'privileged' group despite ALL evidence to the contrary.

You seem pretty angry about such an isolated story. I wasn't virtue signaling, or at least not trying to - your approval or disapproval means literally nothing to me. I've had comments with far more downvotes.

In real life, you have choices to make. Sometimes it is appropriate to fight, or cause harm, or seek punishment against someone who has wronged you. Sometimes it's not.

That decision isn't written in stone, and no, not everybody thinks the way you do. She was cuffed in the back of the cruiser, my shirt was torn, my phone busted, and the cop was asking me whether or not I'd like to press charges.

I chose not to - and for a while I was angry and regretted it, like you seem to be feeling right now. Trust me she made me wish I had punished her in some way after this by poisoning my friends group and social scene.

But a couple years down the road, if I was given the option to call up the police and press charges today, I probably wouldn't. You don't have to like it - just like I don't have to choose to fuck up someone's life for 10-20 years over a basically minor altercation. Shit happens.

Okay. The reason your comment makes no sense is because everyone else here agreed with pressing charges in an incident between two random individuals. You can’t pick an incident between you and your girlfriend and argue with people in this thread. That makes no sense.

Plus, people who don’t really care about upvotes or downvotes don’t bring it up unless they seem to be bothered by it. When you say shit like “You lot watch too much TV, go outside and see what the real world is like, everyone should be understanding of each other” people will call you out on virtue signaling.

Only someone who hasn’t been in the real world would say something like that. For your benefit, please understand that the society you live in has been around for decades. People have had reasonable amount of real life experience and they understood that people are selfish and there are cheaters/criminals in every system and the lessons they’ve learnt have been used to define acceptable behavior/punishments, for everyone to exist together.

While you live in a Utopia in your head where everyone is nice to each other, others have used to system to reward/punish behaviors because there needs to be consequences for actions or we’d never survive as a society.

Personally I'm not out conducting my life based on what's most politically correct for everyone else. I conduct my life based on what I see is best for myself, and sometimes for a small number of people I'm actually going through life with.

On that day, I decided NOT to ruin a person's life even though she was acting like a child throwing a tantrum. She wasn't trying to hurt me so much as be annoying and angry. If she had come at me with a knife, or a bottle, or a brick? Different story.

Mercy is a thing sometimes. And no, it wasn't because she was a girl or even a girl I cared about. We weren't together long enough for anything deep.

Ya'll people watch too much TV. Go talk to real life people, or spend a few weeks in jail, then come tell me you'd do the same because someone pisses on your hush puppies

I've never called anyone an incel just because I disagree with them. I called this particular person an incel because of a ton of evidence in their previous posts, including the one in this thread.

For example:

Fucking dogshit. Even in China, women ruin everything. This will never stop. I hate this world so god damn much.

This was in response to an article about the backlash women in china face when they report abuse by powerful men, including being "erased" or having their family's homes burnt down. This was not a response to someone else's comment, this was a response to the article itself.

He posts /r/menkampf, where they claim that men are as persecuted today as jewish people during the holocaust.

Here's one from a /r/malementalhealth post:

We all do. That's the secret. I'm literally terrified of being with a woman because of all of the accusations and stuff.

There's also the fact that a lot of times I don't feel like talking to women because I associate women with destroying men's lives at this point.

This is a real problem but nobody wants to talk about it because it doesn't fit the narrative.

So if he's not an incel he's at least a volcel? Either way, he's clearly got an unhealthy bias against women. He is "literally terrified" of them. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it might be some other kind of bird you didn't know existed, but no one should get bent out of shape when you call it a duck. I only went two pages deep for this stuff and this is just the highlights, there are several more anti-woman posts mixed in among questionable opinions on cars, which is how he spends the other half of his time on reddit.

Edit - Holy shit this guy is worse than I thought. This account is only a month old so I figured I'd skim all of it since I'm waiting on a vendor to start a zoom anyway.

His first post is about how women have every advantage in the western world and use it to oppress men.

His fifth post literally says that "consent" is just used to put men in jail or get them fired. He argues against consent for Christ's sake, which makes him pro-rape? I mean, if you don't think consent is a requirement for sex I don't know what else to call you but a rapist. He's either an incel or a rapist, which one is less offensive to call him?

His ninth post, well I won't even summarize:

Women are treated like garbage because they act and dress like garbage.

If they want to be treated respectfully, they should dress respectfully. It's not hard to understand but you don't get it because you'll defend anything they do no matter how horrid.

And then he follows that up in post 10 with this:

There's NO excuse for calling a woman a bitch? Really? Are you braindead? Have you ever talked to a woman?

A lot of women act like bitches. In fact, I'd say most women are bitches.

All that in the first 10 posts on his account, and again, those are just the highlights. All of the other posts are at least anti-feminism if not anti-woman, except for one /r/gunmemes comment that seems vaguely racist but I can't figure out because the comment he was responding to was removed.

If this dude isn't an incel, he really needs to be. He shouldn't be allowed within 50 yards of a woman.

Ok, maybe they are an insecure, self-hating female misogynist. As unlikely as I find that, I agree the possibility is out there. Does that make their opinion more valid in some way? Does it somehow change the fact that their comment was factually wrong in several ways, and their post history shows a clear bias?

And so what if I looked at their history? It's one click away, that's how the site is designed. It's ok to check someone's post history, it's not some evil sneaky thing. Plus, it's not like I read everyone's post history, but their comment seemed shady. I did it because I suspected it was a bot since A.) it discussed women not having consequences in a sub where every post is specifically about women having consequences and B.) it talked about misogyny and the patriarchy in a post where it was a woman committing a crime against another woman, no men involved.

I think that making a few (very very likely and safe) assumptions about the person who commented based on the content of their comment and their previous history is not even comparable to the (obviously and immediately provably incorrect) assumptions they made.

But after looking in to your history, I could see why you'd swoop in to try and defend them.
