Other than the continuation of the species, does either sex really need the other one? Gay couples get along just fine. I don't want to be needed in a relationship; I want to be wanted. Being needed can mean that someone is needy, and both of those things can feel like obligations and/or burdens. I don't need my husband because I can support and provide for myself, but I very, very much want my husband because he's my best friend and "soulmate." Why can't just a couple, guy and girl, just love each other and do sweet things for each other out of love?
