Plus the r\niceguys stereotype is often true, and eventually they snap and reveal themselves to be a horrific misogynistic incel. Its like they never can go out quietly and have to reveal how pathetic they are, thus proving the woman correct.

Or in the worst cases, they try to rape the woman or turn into a stalker.

Like everyone on TRP says "society lied to me and said that women like nice guys". But its far more likely these guys were always dark triad manipulators, and they are just angry that it never worked.
