Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Is this where the people who demanded gender equality now claim it’s sexist?

[–]DearestBurrito 502 points503 points504 points 4 years ago (75 children) | Copy Link

Not treating women with massive advantages over men is the new "sexist". Feminism (third wave feminism) in its current shape and form isn't about equality, it's about women being treated like unaccountable children.

[–]Antiquorum 174 points175 points176 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. They want all of the power and none of the accountability.

[–]basically_a_genius 126 points127 points128 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

And men to have all the accountability and none of the power.

[–]Antiquorum 56 points57 points58 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yep, they'll offload the accountability by acting cute when they fuck up and tearing into you when you fuck up. If you let them do this they get all the power.

The key is to always stand up and speak up for yourself, and to be bold, fair, and honest with them when they fuck up. If they can't take responsibility but expect you to, you're dealing with a woman-child and the relationship needs to end.

[–]DKlurifax 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This sounds exactly how I treat my children.

[–]Antiquorum 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]F33dR 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Nothing is more harmful to women than modern feminist extremism. No one likes being told "you're either with us or against us", which is basically the current attitude regardless of how ridiculous their stance is on certain issues.

[–]4gotOldU-name 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]errldabz 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Hermojo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Haha. No you guys are more harmful to women than anything else.

[–]F33dR 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Believe what you want, it doesn't change the statistic (and I have nothing against people of any sexual orientation) that in lesbian couples, the chance of domestic violence goes up significantly. Explain that. If men are always who is hurting you, how is that possible? Who harrasses women for their choice in fashion/clothes the most? It's not men, it the women you work with, it's the women in your families, like you're old fashioned aunty or something that calls you a slut for a wearing a skirt. Men just get the blame for everything. And it's bullshit.

[–]JohnnyGlasken 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Taking this a step further, 43.8% of lesbian women reported Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) in their life, compared to 35% of heterosexual women. Interestingly, heterosexual men reported higher IPV than homosexual men, 29 and 26% respectively. It's not difficult to identify the source of toxicity

[–]Sadi_Reddit 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The counterpart of misogyny is misandry, the hatred or dislike of men. We should call it out for what it is.

[–]bigz3012 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's the thing they don't want equality. They want all the "benefits" of being male, but none of the negatives. Bill Burr has a good joke about it... https://youtu.be/onNBxynagXE

[–]Black-Spruce 33 points34 points35 points 4 years ago (42 children) | Copy Link

Feminism is just weaponized female nature.

[–]DearestBurrito -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (38 children) | Copy Link

I don't think being manipulative and try to get away with things is a female trait as you say. It's a human trait, the problem is that feminism wants only women to get away with crap with a sense of equality of "but men got away with horrible stuff, so this makes it even".

[–][deleted] 37 points38 points39 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Females natural advantages over men aren't physical. They are way better manipulators then men are naturally. They mature faster and learn things about men and women that men don't find out until later in life. Most women are 100 percent better manipulators than most men.

[–]Yoshi2shi 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

There bodies may mature faster but not their minds.

[–]ojioni 11 points12 points13 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The most evil creatures on the planet are teenage girls. Fortunately, most of them grow out of it.

Unfortunately, not all of them grow out of it.

[–]Hermojo -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, that's why 99% of the time when you hear a news story about a teen killed it's a male responsible and the female killed. WRONGO BONGO.

[–]Hot_Individual535 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually most of the teenagers being murdered are black males, and they're murdered by other black males.

This is sexist and nonsense. But you do you.

[–]Soft_Leather_Couch 29 points30 points31 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This article literally proves his point.

Women in the UK are lying about the severity and commonness of a crime committed against women so they can manipulate the public’s opinion on the matter.

It’s the same when you argue with women online and they pull the “what if it was your mother or sister or daughter or…..” it’s 100% manipulation. You don’t see men pulling the “what if it was someone you know” manipulation tactic and that’s because women made that because they’re the better liars/manipulators.

[–]Gaiinahat 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree, this is nonsense. They actually stop maturing the moment they find out they have the power of the coochie.

[–]Micr0be 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

sexist yes, nonsense absolutely not. He has the right conclusion. He's basing them on sexist assumptions.

[–][deleted] 25 points26 points27 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

How is it sexist? This is how we evolved. Back in the caveman days most people survived based on their ability to attach themselves to a group. If you were ousted you basicaly died. Our society around us has changed alot but the wireing is still the same. The ability to manipulate men into doing things for you as a women became a neccesity because without the men they would have died. This is also proven by evoluntinary psychology. The ability for women to use social manipulation has been evolved to counter mens ability to win any argument with physical strength alone against any woman. Only in 2022 is biology considered sexist.

[–]Soft_Leather_Couch 19 points20 points21 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s not a sexist assumption.

Women are better liars and manipulators.

I mean women complain that their autism isn’t being diagnosed because “sexist doctors of the patriarchy”, when in reality it’s because women are the better liars and manipulators that they can effectively hide their conditions meaning they don’t get diagnosed properly.

[+]DearestBurrito -10 points-9 points-8 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The conclussion is that women are manipulative pieces of shit, and ti's not. I'm antifeminist but not antiwomen. Just because some women are manipulative, and yes feminism makes these people get away with stuff doesn't mean that women are more prone to manipulate. This is like saying men are stronger, so I'm more likely to intimidate them into doing what I say under threat. Both statements are sexist and don't reflect reality. What needs to stop is feminism being a safety net for people wanting to get away with unacceptable behaviour and if you call this out, you are being sexist that's the only point I tried to make.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Nobody said that they were pos or trash. You actually brought that point up. Knowing about female nature doesnt mean that you hate woman and you shouldnt hate woman for being woman. Also manupilation as i used it could encompass a lot of stuff that isnt negative.

[–]Soft_Leather_Couch 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem is that you existing is intimidating women.

“We can’t get our voices heard in boardrooms because men are so much louder and dominant. So I’ll keep my opinion to myself and complain on the internet later.”

“Oh my gawd, is that a random man walking down the street? HELP!!!!! HHHEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!! I’m intimidated by this random man walking down the street so much I 100% believe I’m going to be r@ped.”

“Boo hoo we can’t enter this industry because men are too intimidating, so they should do course to learn how to tiptoe around my mental issues.”

All of these example are common complaints from women. Go on twox and you’ll find one or two of these posts a day.

[–]Tricky-Evidence-6968 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with u completely. Don't mind them, they are just projecting feminists onto women. I agree feminism is to blame, and not women.

[–]Tricky-Evidence-6968 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Or maybe it's not a female trait, but because due to feminism they end up getting away with it. A lot of the people think it could be female trait, I agree with u we shouldn't group people like that.
Feminism lets them get away with it, and the women use it to their advantage

[–]DearestBurrito -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

due to feminism they end up getting away with it.

that was my only point thanks

[–]Tricky-Evidence-6968 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Yeah no problem, I just feel like we are a little divided amongst ourselves. While the feminazis fuckkk the whole world

[–]DearestBurrito 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

They blame men ("patriarchy") but women are the one who slut shame and are the first ones to consider other women incompetent. Even when presented with proof of the opposite.

[–]Tricky-Evidence-6968 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I have seen this personally myself. A lot of women like hate others, and speaak shit about them behind their back. Lmao, and this isn't that bad. But feminists are fuckin lesbians, I see them saying if u do this, u have dry coochie energy and are the worst kinds of woman.
I agree women should not do this, but like feminists make it worse by blaming it on men. There is this female celebrity(I found on article of women who badmouthed feminism). I realised through that article pretty much all women including Katty Perry, Taylor Swift, hell even Beyonce said feminism is too extreme and she wouldn't call herself that, they all didn't like feminism. It's like in recent times it's pushed way too much.

Like I can find the women who said this, but for now she like even put a song where she says we say men are the enemies, but deep down women are each other's biggest enemies sometimes. And guess what, the feminists fuckin harassed her on twitter(7 years old maybe), and she replied if u have problem with my song and want to protest. Then go burn ur bra on streets and I may consider ur opinion😂🤣

Feminism (third wave feminism) in its current shape and form isn't about equality

Never was. Read up on the white feather campaign and how its participants were against the voting right for women because that would carry the risk of them getting military conscription with it.

They always just wanted to cherry pick the good shit.

So letting a man ran all over the place and stick his fingers, peen and will wherever he likes - using the judicial system ($$$) to protect that... is cool though, right? Paying them more to do so, that's helpful, too. That sounds like a giant 200 lb toddler doing whatever HE wants. GET OVER IT BOIS. #2022 #WomenRule

[–]Mock_idk -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Being treated like an unaccountable child is not the same as recognizing that is more dangerous to be stranded for a woman than for a man. Are you all so delusional that you won’t even accept that?

[–]DearestBurrito 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

nterview wiuth the people who do this and what's the logic behind it.

Maybe the man is carrying a toddler int he backseat and has mobility problems. And maybe the woman is is a UFC fighter. Equality means equality, you aren't more valuable than a man, and men aren't second class cannon fodder pieces of meat that spit out crisp $100 bills.

[–]Mock_idk -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Jesus Christ you’ve dealt with shit people to think that women think of you as second class citizens. Women, on average, are more vulnerable than men. Sure, you’ll have outliers like women who are UFC fighters and men who have a toddler in their car, but overall, a woman is more vulnerable and seen as an easy target compared to men.

And seeing equality as being exactly the same is extremely childish, and I don’t think anyone is advocating for that. That’s like saying we should mix men and women in sporting competitions because of equality, it doesn’t make any sense. On average women are weaker and easier targets than men, so doesn’t it make sense to prioritize the vulnerable ones first? You would take care of an elder before taking care of a young adult too right?

[–]DearestBurrito 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I dont' waste time arguing with feminists. You have no interest in logic, nor equality. Go away.

[–]Mock_idk -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’m not a feminist, I hate that label and I hate being told that just because I agree with some points, I agree with the entire ideology.

But I guess it’s easier for you to just label me as part of a broad and diverse ideology and brush off my arguments that way. You’re either 12 or childish. I will not go away, I like actually discussing opinions that are different to mine, because I think we all can learn something by getting out of our echo chambers, but if you want to stay cozy and not use your critical thinking skills, that isn’t my problem I guess.

[–]DearestBurrito 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ok.

[–]RockmanXX 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

average women are weaker and easier targets than men, so doesn’t it make sense to prioritize the vulnerable ones first?

This shit brings my piss to a boil, how come when men are weak&short we're told to suck it up but then men like you make bullshit arguments like this? Why can't the same apply to women?

How is it fair that 5'5 poor skinny men are treated with the same cold indifference as 6ft buff men but when it comes to Women, "Oh shit, we must protect them they vulnerable!!" Like, what!? What about weak men, why won't you prioritise protecting weak men!?

[–]WilliamBott 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yep.

When you've been privileged for decades, equality feels like persecution.

[–]SpecialAdvice9302 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If you read the Twitter comments, a lot of women are saying they don’t want “equality” but “equity” - probably because they had/have equality so they have to make up a new word for what they supposedly don’t have. Once they’re given “equity”, they’ll say they don’t “parallelism” or some other bullshit. If you give a mouse a cookie…

[–]tanglecat00 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You’re completely right. Funny how we’ve moved from ‘equality’ to ‘equity’ in a few short years.

Almost as if it’s a slippery slope

In another tweet, she added: 'I will now wait alone in the dark for 90 minutes or more, something which as a lone woman nowhere near home is far more anxiety-provoking than it would be for a man, if you follow the news. I think your policies need a revamp.'

Right, because men aren't the victims of ~80-90% of murders, assaults and robberies.

What does being a victim of violence (proven) have to do with women's rights. The victimization of women comes down to inequality. The disrespect found in this sub. Let me ask you: have you raped a woman? Or would you if you could? Or have sex with an underage, trafficked teen if you could get away with it? I have a feeling this sub is ripe with it.

[–]qcon99 103 points104 points105 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

If ONLY there was a strong metal box with locking doors into which they could retreat.

If ONLY if there really was danger there was not only a loud signalling device built into the box and a gadget that could put them immediately in touch with the police close at hand.

More to do with being inconvenienced and paranoid than being in danger.

Most civilised countries don't put those in the hands of civilians but whatever

[–]Hermojo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Missing women are often targeted bc of car trouble. Why are you so focused on the women? Oh, an article gets you upset. Have you ever been stranded on the side of the road like that as a woman? You have no idea what it's like. How are women raped, robbed and kidnapped? OPPORTUNITY. Oh sure there's a window. And a phone. How good is that when it's glass. Ask Sidney Sutherland.

[–]TAEACCMFT 30 points31 points32 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

far more anxiety-provoking than it would be for a man, if you follow the news

Then maybe you should follow the Office of National Statistics instead of the news...

[–]JackC747 31 points32 points33 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's almost like every minor act of violence against women is sensationalised and every act against men is buried, so that the news paints the picture that all women are constantly at risk of being raped and murdered while men face zero problems

It's almost like every minor act of violence against women is sensationalised

That would only be done to sell papers/ pages if it was becoming uncommon...

[–]OccultRitualCooking 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Literally yes rape and murder.

In 2019, the number of male and female violent crime victims was about even, with about 1,579,530 male victims and 1,479,540 female victims.

[–]JackC747 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Source for that? From what I can see:

Men were more likely to be victims of CSEW violent crime than women (2% of men compared with 1.3% of women

Source: https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/crimeandjustice/articles/thenatureofviolentcrimeinenglandandwales/yearendingmarch2020

[–]JackC747 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Not going to give a source? You're going around this thread saying men are murdered more than women when all the statistics show the opposite. So either give a source, or admit that you're lying.

[–]Hermojo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's true in the US. Not sure about UK. Don't be a lazy ass. Look it up yourself. Geeze, does a WOMAN have to do EVERYTHING for you?

[–]JackC747 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you sure it's not just because you know that you're wrong?

In 2020, 14,143 men were murdered and 3,573 women were. So you were around 300% wrong when you said more women are murdered than men. That's means men are the victim ~80% of the time.

Source: https://www.statista.com/statistics/251877/murder-victims-in-the-us-by-race-ethnicity-and-gender/

As for you violent crimes numbers, I'm willing to bet they're either total bullshit, or include anything and everything as "violent crime"

In 2017, 1.7 percent of women aged 15 or older indicated that they had fallen victim to one or multiple violent crimes, versus 2.5 percent of men.

Source: https://www.cbs.nl/en-gb/news/2018/51/fewer-women-than-men-fall-victim-to-violence

So basically everything you've said is bullshit. Hope it feels good to play the v all the time though. Can't possibly acknowledge that men might just have it worse in some ways. Like victims of robbery, assault and murder. Workplace deaths and suicides. Court and family court disparities. No, just ignore all that and keep pushing that women have it worse in every way.

Now leave your snarky reply where you ignore everything I've said. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

[–]coercedaccount2 51 points52 points53 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

funny how they say they want equality but then throw a fit whenever they are treated like men are. I think maybe they're lying about their desire for equality.

[–]ghoulshow 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

It started as a fight for equality and third wave feminism came along and shit all over the idea. Now they want to act shitty and not be held accountable because "muh feminism". A literal allegory would be trump supporters (not all republicans) who want the ability to be outwardly racist and bigoted without being held liable for those actions. Same shit, different bucket.

[–]ScienceGaveMeAHadron 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It was never about equality. Even the suffragettes thought they were too good for things like fighting in the war, nor were they rooting for the voting rights for men, since nearly all the men fighting and dying in WW1 for the UK did not have the right to vote either.

[–]shaycipher 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

BC that's what we are programmed for

which if you think about rationally is fucking stupid thing to do,

there are many negatives to having children and the only positive which is to drag somebody else into your own misery because like they say misery loves company, aside from that there isnt anything beneficial to having children.

at leasr people who are NOT sociopaths

isnt someone a sociopath for just dragging an inocente person into this broken world which seems to be going on a path to dystopian wasteland, why drag someone so helpless and powerless against there will and force them to suffer, and pushing your own problems on them and if they have children then they most likely do the same as you to them.

the earth can only susatin so much life, and I'am not just talking about human life there other living cretures out there that not only do we ruin there lives by destroying there habitats , domestacting such animals and then forcing them to breed undlessly only to then slaughter them, heck look at what they do to male baby chicks, they just get killed shortly after birth, and they are not the only ones and some dont have the luxery of a painless death.

having more children would mean we would need more space, more resources, more energy and many more things, meaning polution goes up and the earth resources go down.

They actually stopped that with car insurance in the EU. They ruled that it was discrimination 9 or 10 years ago - they are no longer allowed to take into account gender as a deciding factor in car insurance premiums. Prices equalized for everything else being equal (age, driving record, car, home area, employment status etc)

Women complained about it...

Feminists don't truly want equality they only want it when it suits them case in point when I was in the military preparing for a 12-mile ruck march with weapons and ammo one of the females in my company want to carry a 240 machine with 100 rd drum and additional ammo to boot not our rucksack needed to be 50lbs as well. I informed her that she should double up on socks and get some Dr. Schols sole for her boots and she kinda gave that look like to fuck off type shit so I STFU and let her do her thing.

That morning I was kinda surprised that her Platoon Sgt. gave her the okay to carry such a heavy weapon that everyone in my company was taking bets on whether or not she would make it. 2 miles in she was already bitching weapons to heavy my heels hurt I don't think I can do it and was asking her sisters in arms to take turns NOT one them tried to help her she was in tears. After everything was said and done she had to go on medical leave because her feet were blistered the fuck up.

"It's the patriarchy's fault for refusing to recognise women as fully fledged adults"

"Women are oppressed by the patriarchy as the AA refuses to treat women as more helpless versions of men"

There's no pleasing these people.

Aren't men more likely to get assaulted and overall subjected to crime more than women? I've always viewed crime against women and children more taboo and that it's considered worse and cowardly to assault women. The exception is crimes of sexual nature. And sure men are probably less careful and might expose themselves more tho crimes, as well as being involed in crimes more. Does anyone have any statistic on the likelyhood on being the victim of crime unprovoked compared between men and women when risk exposure is controlled for?

[–]_t_hr0waway__ 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Why the hell are you getting out of your car during an emergency anyway? It'd the safest place to be assuming it's not on fire.

[–]Vorobye 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No, you grab your hi-vis jacket, get out of your car, you hop over the barrier or onto the soft berm, you walk 100 metres back to where you came from, place your emergency triangle and then you either get to work on fixing your car or call for help. This way you decrease the chances of you being run over and for other people to hurt themselves by crashing into your car. DO NOT STAY IN YOUR CAR

[–]4gotOldU-name 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

HA!!!! As if the majority here will have ever seen an "emergency triangle" - or know why one would place it 100 meters away.

Toronto in talking about you.

38 deaths over 5 years caused just by a lack of shoulder, many more non lethal accidents over the years.

I like the one who says that "the police prioritise lone females and so do the highways agency, because they recognise their sex places women AT RISK FROM MEN." Maybe the AA should then only send a female patrol to help.

[–]barnfodder -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The AA are shit regardless of your gender.

Left me stranded for three fucking hours once.

[–]4gotOldU-name 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Did you expect a magic carpet ride? 3 hours isn't the end of the world...

[–]barnfodder 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I expected them to come within the hour they told me they'd be there.

[–]4gotOldU-name 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

...and maybe they got more calls after they told you that? From more critical situations?

[–]barnfodder 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I couldn't give a fuck what their day was like. When a truck wa eventually called by the police because my car was blocking traffic, it was there in less than ten minutes. Their dispatch yard was round the corner.

It was the same towing company the AA had told me they were contracting.

Never giving them my money again.

[–]gooseberryfalls 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm curious what the gender breakdown of due-paying customers vs calls requiring service is. In general, I think men are more likely to be able to fix a problem with a car than women (therefore men would be less likely to need a tow than women, given the same car issue), but I think that could be offset by men being more likely to drive shitboxes that break down more frequently. I dunno. A female-servicing-only roadside repair service could be a hoot to watch.

Is it just a lite knockoff of AAA

[–]Hot_Individual535 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

No its a knockoff of the RAC, which AAA is also a knockoff of.

[–]lifepuzzler 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I was here to make the same joke. Apparently you touched a nerve.

[–]Comrade_Witchhunt -2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The nerve being "acting like a self important American who can't fathom something not being about them first and foremost."

You'll call it a joke, but that's because you're a clown, and they're notoriously un-funny.

[–]lifepuzzler 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

👌

[+]Selrisitai -12 points-11 points-10 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I definitely would. I wonder how they prioritize.

[–]Daewoo40 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Presumably those on motorways first, as they're the worst/most dangerous location to break down.

Then literally anywhere else based on time called/distance to location, you'd imagine.

If you have 1 call out, time based. If they have 2+, fuel economy would presumably take priority.

Gender must surely come a close 15th behind weather, distance from base and local tourist attractions.

[–]Selrisitai -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not a bad theory!

[–]ballatthecornerflag 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Cant speak for AA specifically, but know people that have worked for equivalent organisations... absolute priority always goes to anyone with a child or animal locked in a car. Followed by dangerous circumstances e.g. stuck on a motorway or busy intersection or anyone who specifically says they feel unsafe in the location

[–]4gotOldU-name -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sorry, but that's F'd up... Fido the Dog gets priority over a person stranded on a motorway (freeway, for the Americans in the crowd)? Or a busy intersection?

That's absolutely ridiculous.

[–]ballatthecornerflag 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Its a general triage process, judgement on a case by case basis can be and is exercised. It can get extremely hot inside a car and animals can die just as easily as humans... in most cases people broken down on a freeway are safe if they are in the emergency breakdown lane and remain inside their car, breakdown in any unsafe location (traffic, heat, aggressive drunk people) will increase priority.. not saying what's right or wrong, just what the policies are where I'm from

Pro tip. Even if you're not a member these organisations should have policies that they attend for trapped children and pets free of charge.

[–]Ohhowconvenient 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Eh eh?

[–]freman 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I say let em cancel their membership.

Imagine how much more time AA will have to help men if there are no feminists using their services.

Bit of an own goal

[–]Potty_Pigeon99 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

imagine being a doctor and being too stupid to understand how treating men and women equally is actually equality

[–]Nolacub 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Equality!!! Oh, wait...equality we get to pick and choose

[–]hahadontcallme 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Please .. if these idiots want to cancel, the response to my dead battery is that much faster.

[–]MakeADeathWish 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm confused by using gender as opposed to sex to describe the reason she imagines she should be given priority. Because I don't think she means the social construct, just the plumbing, is what determines eligibility for preferential treatment

[–]doulikefishsticks69 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If only people in the UK were allowed to carry something for self protection....a nice compact handgun, pocket knife, pepper spray, tazer. Literally anything. Lmao.

[–]tommychamberlain85 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Another post by someone who doesn’t get the idea of this sub at all. This woman was able to get them to change their policy and basically apologize. That ain’t pussy pass denied at all

[–]crampsalot 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let them cancel. They’re only hurting themselves because fixing a flat is not in their skillset. That would be funny to see them taking selfies next to their flat tires.

[–]Hermojo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Look all of the widdle abusive cwybaby men. LMFAO. DV me, I take it as a compliment.

[–]Hermojo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hey people of color in here, these are the same things they say about you in other forums.

[–]wathon2 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Modern problems require modern solution. If you are a man stuck on a side of the road, just identify as a woman to get help faster.

Because we all know men are bullet proof and that the majority of homicide death are women. LOL.

[–]Yoshi2shi 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hehe!

[–]thisherepoo 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So cancel then. Other customers will replace

[+]5imo -9 points-8 points-7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women should be at the back of the Que so why would we give priority to them? Back to the kitchen dear.

[+]Stabbycrabs83 -8 points-7 points-6 points 4 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I think if you take a sensible look at it vulnerable people should get priority including women.

What I think is unfair is that my policy costs the same despite receiving a lower tier of service. If you are going to receive a slower service it should cost less. Just because you are a man doesn't mean you can't feel vulnerable too. We aren't all 7 foot tall and 300lbs.

There's no way feminists could claim that men receiving a discount on behalf of slower service is unfair.

Similarly no decent person wants vulnerable people including women to be put at risk. I would be cool with a longer wait and a subsequent discount anyway.

[–]Hot_Individual535 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women are not vunerable people. Ill people are. Old people are. Children are. Healthy grown adults are not.

[–]Idesmi 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Women as a group are not more vulnerable than men.
