Stats: 56 yo; no lifts; make very good money

Today an affair with one of my coworkers was discovered and now I feel like everyone knows about it. There have been a lot of cases recently at work around sexual harassment and affairs. I was leading a lot of this sensitivity training but now have been found out. I decided to quit to try and save some damage. There are even some photos of me with the coworker around and I'm scared that she might now be fired too. She's also mad this came out and is embarrassed by it. How can I smooth things over so she doesn't leave me? I really don't have anyone else right now and it feels like the whole world is against me. Please help.
