Men tommorow, is the case of Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard, where Depp has sued Amber for half a hundred million. What are your thoughts and who do you think is likely to win?

What the fuck

[–]Solid-Perspective98 159 points160 points161 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

The article for this appalling case.

[–]NotGoodSocially 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Saw this same story a while back, can't find any source for it at all, seems to just link to another site which links to an older article from a sketchier site, and rinse repeat.

Something seems off with this story, normally there'd be a public police report about it, but I can't find it anywhere. Seems odd this story keeps popping up every couple months with no link to original source

[–]Solid-Perspective98 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I saw a few Hindi and English articles reporting the same story but as far as I can remember, not one of them are from mainstream sites.

"Forcing him to have sex with her"

No, she raped him. Tell it how it is.

Abusive like dammit karen why do i have to do the dishes everyday... And thats it the world blows up at the guy...

[–]woolencadaver 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

People do this same nonsense with young girls and report the story as "Police officer has sex with accused while in custody". So, you arrested her and had sex with her. You raped her, basically, she was completely in your care. She can't give consent.

The subtext is similar and complete BS : That all young boys want sex and boys can't be raped. And police officers act in the interest of citizens and a "criminal" probably wanted it/ was asking for it/deserved it. A level of cynicism is applied. It's gross.

Consent is so unbelievably relevant in general but particularly if a person has a duty of care/ vunerable people/ position of power. It's so clearcut and obviously wrong I can't see how it's tolerated.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have to admit, despite not liking cops, at least the ones in my country, I've never heard of cops fucking inmates. Except in porn, if that counts.

[–]Mahameghabahana 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sadly in india thanks to femenist, a man or boy can't get raped by a girl or woman.

[–]Samniss_Arandeen 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The paper can't call it rape, because rape is a criminal act and the paper would be saying she committed a crime. If the law specifies rape as committed by a man upon a woman, then calling what she did rape would legally be libel.

[–]Actual-Draft-4924 82 points83 points84 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Is this like a juvie or a group home to get them out of the house he was being raped in

[–]lonelyguy266 134 points135 points136 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

India has basically no protection from false accusations of rape against guys. Guys also can't even be raped by a woman according to the law there, so she wouldn't really get much apart from a slap on the wrist.

[–]Actual-Draft-4924 29 points30 points31 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My thing is it's not even really an accusation of rape if she said she raped him which I understand the second part of they don't acknowledge the possibility it just seems weird

[–]SnooPets2522 38 points39 points40 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Does any country have any protection from false allegations of rape against guys?

[–]Primarch_1 48 points49 points50 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Isn't it a known thing where women from a rural or lower caste will kidnap men and marry them, and them men are stuck because it is extremely shameful to get a divorce?

[–]Mahameghabahana 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You mean groom kidnapping? Groom kidnapping are limited to the indian state of Bihar and purbachal region of indian state of Uttar Pradesh. And in that case the girl family targets men with promising future and forcefully marry them to their girl often time at the gun point. They even threaten to falsely accuse the groom of various things like domestic violence or dowry If he tried to flee and sometimes they even hire goons.

[–]LettersAndPaper 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've heard about this for the first time, mind sharing a source? Thanks in advance

[–]Primarch_1 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Not the best example but it shows that men are being kidnapped in this case at gunpoint to be married.

[–]LettersAndPaper 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you for sharing, I wasn't aware of this! It's shameful how our society functions.

[–]Sensedog 103 points104 points105 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Jesus, that's fucked up.

[–]crippledhermit 100 points101 points102 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Still think we don't need male-only shelters, feminists?

[–]_the_redditor__ 50 points51 points52 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Knowing them, yes , they do

[–]HenryCGk 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And this is proof, somehow

[–]Thermobaric_Potato 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Every feminist knows men need male only shelters to protect them from abusers and the results of abuse. Thats why they work so hard to deny them to men. Because they want them to suffer.

[–]evaneli13 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or at least AA style meetings for abused men.

[–]Futurefrog38785 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I mean seeing that this was in August , was this the end or something happened afterwards ??

[–]RevolutionaryAct6931 21 points22 points23 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm sorry, in the article it says that basically, the girl is being hospitalized and the boy is in trouble even though the girl CONFIRMED that she raped the kid. Fucking dumb retards they are.

[–]LettersAndPaper 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I call myself a feminist and this shit disgusts me.

  1. 'Have sex'?!! It was a RAPE!!

  2. Juvenile home? Really? That only puts the poor kid at a greater risk of sexual assault. Indian law is fucked gosh!

  3. As someone pointed out in a comment here, Indian law doesn't recognise rape of cis men. Like???

  4. The boy is gonna need extensive counselling and psychotherapy, our law doesn't manadate it. And that is seriously fucked!

To all the men here, I apologise for what pseudo-feminists have convinced you to believe, but this is NOT feminism in any form.

[–]MaxIsJoe 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s good to see a sane person from the other side once, thank you for saying this.

[–]UnfurtletDawn 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You know this isn't only India.

In a lot of statistics in America they use definition of rape that excludes when woman rapes a man.

Just Google CDC rape definition. By their definition when woman rapes a man it is not rape.

[–]Pradius_Pie1908[S] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Hey hey, don't worry we can differentiate between people who actually fight for women's rights and people who want men dead.

Indian law defines rape as forceful penetration. Ergo a male can not be raped by a female unless she does butt stuff to him. So in this case both are minors which makes sex with girl rape for the boy. It does not matter she admits she raped him Indian law has no such crime.

[–]LettersAndPaper 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm afraid that a recent court ruling made the definition of rape much wider. Check Explanation 1.

For the benefit of those unaquainted with Indian Laws on sexual harassment, here's a quick guide

[–]West-Sharp 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you for saying this, but the No True Scotsman fallacy is still a logical fallacy. Unfortunately, many self proclaimed "feminists" argue otherwise. Feminism is defined by feminists, as well as their actions and words, and unfortunately, many feminists argue that a woman can't rape a man, or that it is so rare that it doesn't matter, which neither of those points are honestly true.

Maybe you aren't really a feminist, but rather, a progressive? That's what I am, because I view people as equals.

[–]PikaDicc 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Rape. Plain and simple

[–]Traditional_Two_1377 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not under Indian law

[–]The_ZMD 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

In India, males can't be raped by definition of rape. Look it up.

[–]Serious_Eggplant8792 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

No no actually if it was anyone other than mumbai the girl would he under posco charges ... elsewhere if a female does anything sexual activity involving penetration like ( any non penal vaginal) she could be sent for life ( theoretically) a woman did get arrested under 377 and posco for putting her finger in the ass of a 12 or 9 year old ... in a similar case in Hyderabad a woman was sent to 20 years in prison for sexually harassing and torturing a minor boy

[–]The_ZMD 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Yes. Posco should be used here. Isn't 377 removed tho?

[–]Serious_Eggplant8792 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Consensual acts where striken down. Not non consensual acts

[–]The_ZMD 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Got it but if the other person is 16, can posco be applied?

[–]Serious_Eggplant8792 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes it can https://www.barandbench.com/news/litigation/woman-booked-sexual-assault-377-ipc-delhi-high-court-anticipatory-bail

I think boys are protected under POCSO but male victims over the age of 18 are not recognized as rape victims there

[–]The_ZMD 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed but she is also under 16 so maybe they have an exemption like romeo juliet exemption.

[–]WeEatBabies 29 points30 points31 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is your brain on feminism!!!!

[–]henriduf 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Being a porn addict is a cheap excuse to cover a rape.

[–]MaxIsJoe 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It’s like saying “they were constantly being bullied” to excuse a school shooter

[–]wwwhistler 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

your not asking the right questions.

was there a crime committed by a female? was a male involved in any way, no matter how innocently or peripherally?

if the answer to both is YES....then it is the males fault.

i would like to say this is just hyperbola, but it isn't.

[–]SuperStateSamBamCam 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're right. Unfortunately, it's not hyperbole. We're liable for everything they do.

[–]LardBall13 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What?

[–]Mission_Ad_716 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Wow wtf is "forcing him to have sex"? Imagine if the genders were flipped. They'd use the word rape everywhere. She raped him. Period. Why was he sent to jail tho?

[–]gregg_dark 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Indian definition of rape is forceful penetration. By that definition the boy raped her. Does not matter she was the older larger person applying force. By indian law she was penetrated. Now if the boy were to say she stuck her finger in his butt then Indian law would give her 25 to life.

[–]Traditional_Two_1377 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

because under Indian law you have to be a man to be able to rape.

[–]wdean8358 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This particular case has been discussed many times on this sub (even posted by me as I am from India). Look at how it said "forced to have sex" instead of saying "raped".

[–]Traditional_Two_1377 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, because under Indian law you have to be a man to be able to rape. As an Indian you should know that.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The comment said something about shooting someone. A certain perpetrator. It can be taken as "advocating for committing violence against another".

Aaand he got deleted lol

[–]SAUS__ 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh I know all about this case, apparently because she got pregnant by FORCING him to have sex with her, it's his fault for impregnating her

[–]pythondrink 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but notice how the girl's age is mentioned as if to make it absolutely clear that she's a minor but the boy's age is not?

[–]XX_OVERLORD 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What is it with India and violating men’s rights?

I love India and it’s really sad to see this

I’m genuinely curious

[–]gregg_dark 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It happens in the USA too! Not codified but there are many cases where the woman raped the man but she accuses him back and he goes to jail. I.e. every so called date rape in which BOTH were intoxicated. How come he is raping her? She can not give consent but nobody asks if he gave consent? Hypothetical and real A college girl can be drunk/high and horny at a party. She finds a boy passed out drunk on a bed. She gets him up and hops on. Boy sleeps through the whole thing. Next day she has him arrested for rape and files for a min of $120,000 in child support. If she got pregnant. Why? Because she was drunk. It never matters if the male gives consent.

[–]NibelungDXM 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is happening because India is Gynocentric.

[–]DaTechNinja 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

How old is he? Also how does a girl forcefully have sex with a male? Did she like tie him down or something? Not trying to victim blame just curious. I’ve been drunk af and had a girl who was sober get on top of me but I shrugged it off and said “it is what it is”

[–]West-Sharp 60 points61 points62 points 4 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

All it took for my ex wife to rape me for over a year was the threat that she'd call the police and "make something up" to get me arrested. She didn't have to specify what she'd make up, it was clear. That was the main way she controlled me, and she could be so manipulative that I was terrified of the prospect.

My opinion did not matter in our sex life, it either happened or I suffered the consequences.

Well, that's one way she raped me.

The other way she raped me was actually through aid of her therapist. Her therapist taught her that her needs were more important than other people's needs because she has an emotional disorder, so when my ex wife felt her needs weren't being met, she took it as seriously as being stabbed in the heart. She then came to the conclusion that it was okay for her abuse of me to get worse if I didn't perform for her, since me letting her down by not wanting sex was akin to me stabbing her in the heart. So, if I wasn't in the mood, she viewed it as me stabbing her in the heart and would steal, hit, throw, threaten, and scream anything she wanted because, again, she felt like she was owed that, as justified by her therapist.

"See, sex used to be bad for me, but you made it good. You made it something I need. Now, since I need it, when you don't give it to me, you're letting me down, and that's akin to stabbing me in the heart. So you need to be stronger and meet my needs, or else I'm going to have outbursts like this."

TLDR - Force comes in many ways, shapes, and forms.

[–]DaTechNinja 10 points11 points12 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Sorry to hear that brother but that bitch was crazy lol

[–]contraterrene 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Not as sociopathis as her therapist is.

[–]DraganTehPro 78 points79 points80 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I think it was blackmail. In India if a woman accuses you you're pretty much fucked.

[–]PepeDidMiss 31 points32 points33 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, no law for men to protect themselves from these things.

[–]DaTechNinja 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ahhh ok yeah India is crazy

[–]veskoandroid 24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]DraganTehPro 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In India it's even worse AFAIK.

[–]RandylVlarsh 35 points36 points37 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sister: 16 Brother: 13

She would show him explicit videos on her phone while they slept under a bed (it kind of sounds like that's where they slept, idk, maybe that's where they hid these explicit acts, but I'm not here to make hearsay). She eventually coerced him to have sex with her. When he made complaints, she threatened to thrash him and expose him to everyone, if he didn't do it.

Let me preface this with: the brother is the victim. The sister is the rapist. The brother shouldn't be in trouble, the girl should.

This story is terrible, the only light in this story I can see... Is at least she told the truth when she was questioned... What she did was terrible, but I'm glad she came clean, and I really hope this means she knows she has a problem, and is looking to fix it. I'd hate for the boy to end up in a worse situation. I really really hope he is set free, and she gets some juvenile time and a couple therapist's...

This breaks my heart. I can't believe the victim was treated like the criminal and the criminal is being treated like a victim. This is horrifyingly scary...

[–]RandomHuman2354 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, imagine a person steals your money and they are set free and you go to jail.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Or imagine someone burns down your house or massacres your family and you go to jail for it. At this rate, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it happened.

[–]RandomHuman2354 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea, I agree, it would feel horrific.

[–][deleted] 25 points26 points27 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

13 years old.

[–]Pradius_Pie1908[S] 6 points7 points8 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The article states that he is 13 years old, and he was pressurised into doing it by his sister. The article said that he was repeatedly threatened that he would be thrashed and exposed in front of everyone.

[–]DaTechNinja 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The world is fucked bro smh

[–]GalC4 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Drugs are a thing.

[–]RandomHuman2354 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah ,but she didn't use drugs, she was stronger and she said that if he complains then she would falsely accuse him of rape.

That's how strong a false accusation could be because it doesn't require accusers to provide evidence. Instead they lock the accused in the jail and then tell them to provide evidence that they didn't rape.

Ye but drugs are probably the easiest way.

Yeah, I can't disagree on the fact that drugs are the easiest way.

Biased and bad reporting and presentation, but usually good journalism.

[–]myevillaugh 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think that's an oxymoron. If it's biased and bad reporting, it's not good journalism.

[–]chintan22 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good journalism in the sense that their reports are usually detailed and to the point. You can clearly make out where the opinion starts.

This is what happens when you don’t go to nofap kids.

Seriously, I believe the stupid baby should be born, The 16 year old "mother" left to die and such baby given to foster parents, This is unacceptable.

And the victim’s being punished? Really?

It’s like being punished for giving your money to someone when they had you at literal gunpoint.

[–]RandomHuman2354 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No it's not like "being punished for giving money when you were at gunpoint", it's more like "being punished because a person took away your money while you were at gunpoint".

[–]IceMuderer 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

True.

But seriously? Living in north korea where your joints get fractured, you become a slave, teeth knocked out, starved and given infections sounds better than this shit.
