When does it become problematic for men to follow female public figures on social media?

Put it like this: if it bothers you, it’s a problem. You don’t need justification for it. Decide what you can/can’t handle and proceed accordingly. While your man shouldn’t be ogling other women, you also can’t be jealous of every pretty woman you see. Him following half naked IG models = he’s the problem. You feeling threatened by a Taylor Swift/Emma Watson = a YOU problem.

Women mostly follow people for inspiration. I follow Brene Brown for example. I do not follow any male celebrities.

So is he following women who are accomplishing great things? Or is he following “hot” women hoping to see pics of their bodies? If it’s the latter it’s NO DIFFERENT than following influencers or porn stars.

This won't work for everyone, but if my boyfriend follows any woman celebrity, then I wouldn't be with him. Reason being I rarely use social media, I don't use IG, IG is literally mostly pictures and doesn't feel as wholesome or ambitious as I desire my life to be. So it's incompatibility at the least. And secondly, (unless it is undoubtedly an inspirational woman that doesn't appeal to the male gaze) women are generally just not respected by men for their genuine talents and accomplishments.
