Listen to this wisdom ladies! And I would like to add it a step further - ONLY date those who treat you like you are the rarest gem on planet earth. Anything less than being top priority - REJECT HIM IMMEDIATELY.

And if you struggle with catching feels too soon when some guy show you even a little attention, don't date - date yourself first. Treat yourself so hard and so good you can't even stomach any treatment even a micro less than what you give yourself.

No, these type of people aren't going to change for you. These type of people are too stuck up in themselves to be even conscious of your pain. And if they do notice, they'll somehow blame it on you.

I literally just walked away from a situation. It's been a year and I'm so sick of hearing I love you but keeping me at a distance, then close again, then far again, complete mixed messages... etc. Yes, this was a confirmed relationship, but it hurt more to stay on this roller coaster ride and "hope for a change."

I voiced plenty about how this was making me feel in many different ways. Didn't seem to make a difference. After a year I walked away. Low and behold, he magically made up his mind. I didn't respond. Shows up unannounced, sends 45 messages, 7 calls, voicemails... I told him no, we're emotionally incompatible. Let me go. I hope that response was correct. That was the last I heard. I'm hurting and he probably is too. I don't know. But it had to end.

Never doing this again.

I just blocked a guy I went on one date with because he didn't text me for three days. No "hey I haven't heard from you! 🥺" just the block and delete he deserves.

I'm going to suggest - if you want a peek into the minds of many types of men - you pick up a copy of "She Ain't It" by G.L. Lambert.

Prefacing this recommendation with the warning that: this author is probably a bit psychopathic, he's (or she?) condescending, arrogant, rude, often sexist, and very very crass.

But it's a very clear insight into how hierarchical men are everywhere, including their perspective of women and how they connect with you. It helps frame this idea of "being someone's first choice" and how that looks with a typical male psyche. (And interestingly, the entire book is about how to get with a HVW and avoid LVW ... where is the outrage?)
