Hello. I'm Maria (25 years old) and I need some (a lot) of advice. The thing is, this didn't feel weird for me, it was natural, the feeling of liking another girl was there, but like many lesbians in their teenage years, I was very shy to even ask a woman to date, it wasn't until I was 17 that I got my first girlfriend.

And sadly enough for me, this was the beginning of the end. Either, I was too emotionally immature or I had many bad girlfriends, my first one, was a bit manipulative, but I ignored that. She was the typical masculine lesbian, and I thought our love was genuine, but then she cheated on me, and she got angry when I confronted her!

I won't go so much into details, but in the time of 5-6 years, I got around 7 girlfriends, and just one of them was what I'm thinking a "good relationship" (mostly because she was 35, a little creepy, yes) but overall has been a lot of emotional suffering for me, and some time ago, I decided to not date someone again, that was, in my mind, okay.

My relationship with men has been nothing but pure respect, sorry for this, but I don't look so much like a lesbian, I was always on the feminine spectrum, even if I'm tall, most of my friends were always guys, and some of them had tried to seduce me, but I always manage to put excuses or reject them.

However, is not like I was repulsed by a male body, I just feel indifferent to them, and that feeling is until today.

Some months ago, I met a man who started to flirt with me, and he was really nice. Even though I ended up confessing what my sexuality was, he was okay with it, and somehow, we end, well, making love together, it was nice and I did the bravest thing possible, start dating him, and so far (3 months of relationship) have been excellent, he works in the army.

Like you can imagine, a straight relationship is so different from a straight one, and I have been feeling naive and a complete newbie at being a supportive figure for him. He even thought I didn't like him anymore because I wasn't so sweet to him wishing him luck when he goes to a camp, I'm totally unaware of how to be a girlfriend for a man, mostly by how cold have been my previous relationships.

What advice would you girls gave to someone like me? I want to make him happy. I have question myself in the scenario him leaving me and I don't feel apathy, I really want to be her girlfriend, so, how I can become one for him?
