To put it bluntly we don't hate the idea of feminism we hate what it has become.

Feminists original intent was to be equal and help all races and genders.

It has now turned into the belittlement of people based off their gender and pushing ideology like the wage gap that is a proven myth. Most feminist or woman focused subs ban or spam anybody who talks out against any idiotic thing they say.

As harmful as Patriarchy (used as a synonym for collective, emergent paternalism) allegedly is, it at least teaches men what's right vs wrong. (Women, especially "feminist" women, are HAPPY to control men through paternal social attitudes, knowing that reputation and self-image are critical to a man's self-esteem.) Feminism can't even do that; All it does is hand out a moral mandate of conceit, insisting that women can never be criticized. Your post here is just a further example of that, as you equate us having our own opinions to "silencing" you. Imagine how "silenced" every man in the last 50 years has felt as they have been shouted down into obscurity by wicked women that the "good" women refuse to (or are unable to) call out.

You can't self-police your whole gender? Well, neither can we. "Patriarchy" is feminist bullshit: Chauvinist moral conceit in the form of mental gymnastics.

You are doing what many feminists do where they conflate feminism with women. Not all women are feminists and not all feminists are women.

Feminism is a toxic dogmatic ideology, it's not a force for equality. It relies upon an inaccurate reframing of history and reframing of gender relations that pits men against women. Feminist theory is deeply flawed and dogmatic, there's no self-criticism. Feminism has led to tremendous harm in society and has also created and perpetuated many issues that men face. I will give two examples of this both with wide reaching consequences.

Feminists created the Duluth model of domestic violence. This is the feminist model of DV that describes it as something that men do to women because men are inherently violent and abusive. It's designed to frame domestic violence in terms of power dynamics where women are victims and men are perpetrators. This model is blatantly sexist and not scientifically supported. And because of feminist lobbying power and influence, it has been used to train police and inform law and policy for decades across the US and other countries.

Popular mainstream feminists like Mary P Koss and influential feminist organizations like the NOW (National Organization for Women, the largest feminist organization in North America) are also responsible for redefining rape specifically to erase male victims and female perpetrators. A thorough explanation of this can be found here (well worth a read).

Some of the most influential feminists and feminist organizations are responsible for some pretty horrendous things and they've all used feminist theory as justification for what they do. Academic feminist thought clearly supports their actions and this is a problem. However society accomplishes true gender equality, it won't be under the banner of feminism.

EDIT: I also want to point out that nobody is trying to science you. Feminism is a mainstream ideology, it's not some fringe movement trying to gain a foothold in society. Whereas people who are vocal about men's rights and voices that are generally critical of feminism are the ones that are being silenced. They are silenced when feminists campaign against men's shelters and get them shut down as in the cases of Earl Silverman and Erin Pizzey. They are silenced when men's issues are literally laughed at in UK parliament. They are silenced when Australian politicians accuse others of "mansplaining". The idea that you are the ones being silenced is demonstrably false and is indicative of a victim complex.

Why do you assume men only bring up their issues in bad faith rather than to bring awareness? That seems to be a common feminist tactic used to shut men up from discussing their issues.

Also feminists aren't synonymous with women. A person can believe in equality for men and women without being a feminist.

Through the lens of feminism all societal problems are due to men, aka the patriarchy. The concept is similar to other conspiracy theories such as the earth being flat, it's too simplistic and false.

No. Women won't.
We don't. And you'll see plenty of examples of women doing the same here. Yet women's issues receive attention.
'To silence us'? You mean trolls? People like that exist everywhere and troll qbout everything.

We don't seek them out, they seek us out.
When's the last time you saw a feminist talking about mens rights in a positive light? Better question: why do feminists feel the need to silence and marginalise mens rights? You can see that every other post on this reddit is people complaining about being banned from not feminist boards, but entrely unrelated boards. How many times have you been banned at random from an apolitical reddit because you follow a feminist board?

Because when we try to mention these issues almost anywhere we get bombarded with a bunch of extreme feminists or the sheep who blindly follow feminists calling us sexist homophobic rapists.

And because feminism is manipulative as fuck. It's the extreme. You at least understand that life isn't easy for men either. You seem like someone who just hasn't seen the insidious nature of feminism. Someone who isn't a weakling. Most feminists are weak, they refuse to even check out what the people who disagree with them think, preferring to just demonize them. I can't speak for everyone, but for me it helped to learn I wasn't alone. There were others who saw the lies. They help strengthen us. We help each other get better argumentation, and are free to critique. Fact is that because of my general reddit experience I thought a critical comment of mine on a post would be filled with down votes and people not handling criticism, but unlike feminism we welcome criticism.

The main reason I oppose feminism is because of truth. I value truth and freedom. Feminism doesn't. It uses terrible facts like the wage gap, but refuses to nuance it. Because the wage gap is false, for the same work you get the same pay. It's true that the average is lower for women, but that doesn't mean that it is discrimination. Feminists like to pretend it is to have more people join it. And it's the enemy of freedom of speech. People who speak out against the media are silenced. Anyone who isn't a blind believer or can pretend to be one gets canceled on Twitter, they make it so you literally can't hear the speaker who's supposed to be speaking because they're not correct enough. Like with Jordan Peterson. And I don't want it if I ever have a son that he'd have to grow up in a world that demonizes him, like the current one. Feminism never uses actual arguments, it just blames and insults or uses logical fallacies. And it's not for equality. That has been achieved. It actively tries to make men the enemy and promotes fear of men.

They also push for a lot of things that would happen to give the government more power. Stuff like making it illegal to say anything bad about jews, even in jokes, and get a prison sentence for it. Pushing for restrictions on free speech, which is a dangerous slide. It quickly becomes authoritarian. Or having more free stuff, where does the money come from? Our paychecks in rediculous taxes. It causes dependency on the government. And I fear it. Every day it seems like a communist takeover is closer. Lead by our own governments. And I refuse to let that happen, so I speak out. If even 1 person sees the light because of it the chances of the government taking our full rights away is slightly further.

But most crucially, it's children. I at least (not sure about the rest) see people indoctrinating children with feminist ideology, which means they'll be even worse than our generation later. I try to stop this. I don't care about your personal beliefs or feelings. You have the right to believe in your ideologies. But you shouldn't take away that right from others. Even a literal nazi has the right to have their idiotic beliefs, but that's the thing. Personally it doesn't matter. But when others get attacked, silenced, fired from their job for exercising their right, you are in the wrong. Especially if you get children involved.

There has been text wall after text wall of examples of feminism as an ideology, feminists in specific, and groups of feminists either as a private group or corporate entity being the worst thing to happen to equality ever. What do ya'll say? "Not a real feminist" "Not feminism"
