"#MeToo is over if we don’t listen to ‘imperfect victims’ like Amber Heard"; Gross article denies Men can be victims of abuse & encourages people to never believe Men. Individuals such as this are why so many Men feel uncomfortable about opening up or seeking support.

If it takes this much pain & suffering for someone as wealthy/famous as Johnny Depp to get justice, imagine the amount of struggling the average man goes through in a False Accusation

The article is great but the title misleading. The way title ix requires or “encourages” colleges to handle sexual assault allegations has always been biased. The whole point of having colleges handle such cases is that in contrast to our legal system, colleges are not required to provide accused males due process. Colleges can legally have kangaroo courts. DeVoss reversed some of these biases (not all). Now these biases are being brought back. It’s not a case of due process being undermined, accused men never had due process. It’s more that the bias against accused males is going to be even greater.

Make it like employment law. Let them kick people out with little to no basis and let them handle the entire show.

BUT add significant legal penalties and damage multipliers when the school fucks up so the harmed party can get attorneys to cover the case on contingency.

Make it work in context of capitalism. Make good decisions aligned with the courts a financially incentivised outcome.

The word "victim" should only be used after the verdict, not while the investigation is still ongoing. Until then, the proper words are "accuser" and "accused"

If a woman weaponizing the system with nothing more than food hole noises has to look up from her phone at any time during proceedings, then the system is still not biased enough.

So long as somebody is unhappy with the convictions and persecutions rate of college kangaroo courts, you'll see more and more "victim-centered" policies. "Victim-centered" meaning "at the expense of any poor soul unlucky enough to be accused".

Redditors hate when I say this, but no, university staff are not qualified to adjudicate these cases. University staff are inherently biased, and with these policies, clearly indoctrinated.

These matters are even worse because colleges deny you basic legal protections like having an attorney handle your case.

These cases belong in a real court, with real standards of evidence, and equal legal protections for both parties involved.

I went to the shopping mall and to the gym on the same day.

The shopping mall is dominated by women and young girls. 80% females.

The gym is dominated by young men. 80% males.

Can we safely say, the habits of men and women are not equal?
