So that's why they're okay with being hypocrites and liars. Got it.

[–]tiredfromlife2019 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yes. Understand that they are a female supremacy movement. And you and me are the enemy. They have no problem lying to smear their enemy.

They are thinking tribalism way instead of universalism way.

[–]iainmf[S] 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly. They see gender relations as a power struggle and are playing to win.

[–]tiredfromlife2019 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And I believe that they are correct that Gender relations are a power struggle. Science shows or articles I read years ago said that for human men and women sexual strategy or maybe reproductive strategy at odds with each other.

News article that talks about Paternity test takes away power from women on choosing the true biological father of their child. That this takes away power from women and is thus bad.

And women doing this act is not new. They've been doing it since forever.

Men being jealous and trying to work on said feelings even if mild is called controlling aka you can't try and prevent a situation of your GF or Wife cheating on you. Cause that's all jealousy is.

The rise of fatphobic shit which is all about women but men still need to be an adonis.

So yes, gender relations have to my mind always been like this. We men were just retarded and got dupped.

And only now we finally realize the truth and even only a few of us not all.

“The goal, then, of feminist theory, should be to develop strategic theories-not true theories, not false theories, but strategic theories. “

Couldn’t agree with her more. That’s feminism all right. Nice to see a feminist be honest about this for once.

She's only being honest strategically.

The goal, then, of feminist theory, should be to develop strategic theories-not true theories, not false theories, but strategic theories.

The adequacy of standpoint projects is to be judged by the success of the practices they legitimate rather than the truth or verisimilitude of representations of nature and social relations.

Those statements are an egregious affront to humanity and everything I value. They are actual, literal evil, which enables every other intellectual and ethical trespass imaginable.

"Be as dishonest as you like, so long as it serves the ideology." Yeah, humanity has a great track record with that. Go fuck yourself.

Which is where you need to be extremely vigilant as to what conclusions are being attributed to Oliver, since academics (especially within philosophy) uses terminology much stricter than colloquial.

So when Oliver talks about power, it's not to be understood the same way we use it in everyday usage.

[–]Marty-the-monkey 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Those statements are also extremely misappropriations of Kelly Oliver's journal article they have used.

The source of Oliver's statements are taken from an article she wrote in response to a different researchers article (Evelyn Fox Keller). The source is also published in an academic philosophical journal, which means the terminology Oliver uses differ a bit from colloquial understandings.

The field Oliver is writing about is Philosophy of Science, where declarations of Truth-theories are a ontological nightmare. Using the term strategic when referring to a strategy, means the theory can function as a prism to observe a phenomenon, and while this can engender some new perspectives, it doesn't mean those are to be considered as absolute truths.

Consider it like how a field mouse world observe you mowing the lawn. A terrifying experience I'm sure, but from your perspective a normal chore.

Furthermore, Oliver employ people like Foucault in her article, whom uses terms of power and dominance without assigning agency or blame on actors within a phenomenon (the postmodern approach). So when discussing power in am academic sense, it means something differently than when you and I discuss power in a colloquial setting

That's what it's been about for literal ages. It's just that it's being taken so far that the truth is starting to be harder and harder to keep hidden. The veil is finally being pulled back.

It's started off being practical. It quickly became about power. All they have to do is make it appear that your behavior is harming them in some way and they have the power to compel and control what you do and say. Just to have any little thing they want. It's reached the point where men are considered guilty just by being men. And this isn't even as bad as things are going to get yet.

Oh you don't fucking say! who would have thought that? merely everyone who's got a functioning brain lol.

To complement this, I strongly suggest the Rational Male Religion, even if you don't read the entire book the point here is the "love is God" mind-set which is typical of the feminine vs the "God is love" archetypal male way of organising societies.

Starting off from the hierarchy of love (which is btw the hierarchy of hate, too) you have that men love women, women love children and children love puppies. And who loves men? God. Where "god" isn't necessarily a bearded man up in the sky but chan be any archetypal figure we may measure up to, without ever succeeding, but it keeps us racing for transcending our present nature/condition nonetheless.

Now, we can't have it both ways. Our sexual strategy are adversarial and, therefore, everything else cascading from them.

So whenever humankind is in an androcracy we tend to set rules "in stone". They are stringent fact-based rules which are made in accordance with our best current approximation of the concept of "truth", without ever having the expectation of being completely unbiased but that of making the best we can. The punishments are harsh and personal conditions don't matter, only the truth does. Whenever we live in a gynocracy (like now) the rules are malleable, remember "love is god"? So we can do whatever we "feel like", there's in only our personal truth as well as there is only one rule, all rules are bent by love the rule above all rules. The punishments are not so harsh if you align yourself with this archetype but are if you don't and personal conditions matter in the allocation of justice and resources.

A compromise is unlikely, history has only taught us that when one takes over the other the winning party will always impose their ways on the losing one. If you think that non-zero-sum rules can be enacted then you are probably a man.
