I'm NOT talking about us aiming for the classic curvy female hourglass physique.

What I mean is, a MALE VERSION of the classic female hourglass physique (upper and lower body more or less symmetrical and narrow waist; think of a polygon version of the hourglass rather than the curvy one)

A man with a big wide upper body and small legs (which may be strong) isn't as attractive as one with a more well-rounded physique.

Most men usually are happy to train their upper body as muscles like the arms and shoulders usually tend to get the most attention from girls.

Also it doesn't help that men struggle to grow their lower body compared to their torso (5 of the top 10 largest muscles in the human body are in the legs). Now men, you may be thinking that you don't need big legs as you're not a bodybuilder or physique competitor or someone who walks around with short shorts all the time. And, I do realise genetics play an important role and some are just gifted with large legs but the lack of growth can also be because they're going about it the wrong way with their workouts.

90% of guys go to the gym and want a V shape which creates the illusion of our waist being smaller than the rest of our upper body which makes us look bigger over all. But men forget to take the lower into consideration. Sure, they include it in their split to maintain balance but rarely target true growth.

But, imo they should aim for growth, as the benefits of truly training and growing your legs in size are far beyond just the aesthetics eg: Increased testosterone etc
