A girl messaged me saying "heyy whats up?" as I was just on my computer studying. Now I didn't want the conversation to be run of the mill so I decided to have a little bit of fun. I replied "Nm I came home from fighting a dragon 😂".
My friend was next to me and saw the whole thing unfold and told me that Me saying that was weird and that I should've actually told her what I was doing. He then told me that I respond way to quickly and said sometimes you have to wait 30 - 40 min before you respond. I got annoyed, not by him, but by so many of these rules of texting ppl do that TRP push such as "wait to respond to not look desperate, reply like this, reply like that, etc."
I didn't text her that I was "fighting a dragon" to be quirky. I texted her that because I thought it is a much more fun conversation to have instead of telling her what I'm studying. Is texting a person of interest really that hard? Are all these rules necessary to develop attraction or friendship?
