It’s more of a template process (think TurboTax) in that you fill out the required information and it takes you thru all the steps. I paid for the basic option which allowed me to just fill in my info, I still had to go down to my family law court and file. Think the higher tier packages may be more of a one stop shop. I’ve gone thru step 1 (initial filing) and step 2 (service and preliminary financial disclosures). Of course the ex went a bit off the rails when she found out I actually filed… so if and when she lawyers up I will as well… if you can keep things civil it’s a great option… my wife and I also agreed to sell our house and split assets, she moved out and now my daughter splits time between us… even with all that she has folks in her ear telling her she will crush me with alimony and child support.. there’s maybe a 20k difference between us and we are both over six figures.. I share this because no matter how civil it seems.. they will come for you when reality hits.
