Because talking about men's problems can trigger feminists.

[–]dw87190 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem hates being rightfully identified as the problem

[–]odysseytree 127 points128 points129 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Then people say feminists have no systemic power like men. They clearly have and institutions are afraid going against them.

[–]neolib-cowboy 32 points33 points34 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

And, btw, that systemic power is held up by federal law, called Title IX, which prohibits discrimination based on sex, gender, race etc. but also can be used to prevent "hostile environments" in colleges, which can really just mean anything if you are triggered easily.

[–]coming2grips 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Woah, this just sparked a thought, what if and just bear with me for a second; what if we had a system that Rated people by their trigger-edness which would then be applied to their complaints to more accurately reflect the societal norms instead of being the source of knee jerk reactions to placate the noisy minority and thereby feed the outrage fuelled social machinery? Then effort could be made to filter their reactions to normal situations, maybe get them baskets of puppies when they feel sad or medication to take the edge off

[–]neolib-cowboy 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

extremely unrealistic

[–]coming2grips 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

True.... Maybe just medicate the noisy ones instead :-D

[–]denisc9918 57 points58 points59 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What fuckin joke..

[–]Ahielia 40 points41 points42 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ah yes, the supporters of a (proven, no less) domestic abuser made a university take down an article that put them in a bad light, how stunning and brave.

[–]RoubandoMerdina 42 points43 points44 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It doesn't matter. Keep making noise to the ones next to you. Eventually there will be more people making noise.

Universities are becoming useless and uncredited. Nowadays it is pretty much as hard to get a degree and thrive than to not get a degree but rather a good mentorship and thrive. Tomorrow the tables might turn. These clowns will get what's coming for them, it's up to us to stop listenning to them and making them useless.

Wtf

[–]Dementium84 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I am really not understanding why they have to cave to the minority opinion. I would get it if they didn’t want to go against the popular sentiment but Heard supporters are not exactly common outside of misandrists and pseudo intellectuals.

[–]McFeely_Smackup 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The piece and especially the insensitive way it was promoted in the newsletter was not meant to convey support for Mr. Depp, implicitly or otherwise, or to call into question any allegations that were made by Amber Heard.

she was found guilty in a court of law, by a jury who viewed all the available evidence.

Yet they STILL want to portray Depp at fault and call Heard a victim. Even a law school says "the law" and "facts" don't matter.

[–]May097 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Can't wait for them to censor medical cases to avoid triggering someone.

[–]yashspartan 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The only way I can possibly see it as triggering was maybe the usage of abuse in evidence. I can understand if the reader is an abuse victim, and reading about the shit that happened between Johnny and Amber in their relationship triggers them.

But that is the ONLY valid reason.

[–]LeftcelInflitrator 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A trigger warning at the top of the article takes care of any concerns like that.

[–]AnnointedAvenger 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They act like Depp is still the abuser. Everything he did to her was good and legal because she was abusive too.

[–]Mother-Key582 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And if the genders were switched, they’d still be saying only HE was the abuser.

[–]xxTheMagicBulleT 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Cause liberal feminists have to be for forever the "hive mind of victim mentality" when its there looking bad with words like "think about the children in what you expose them too" for ever victims and thats the wil always forever try to be.

[–]paranoiastreet 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

it was hilarious to me how people cried out that the trial was a “blow to all women and domestic violence victims”

don’t be a lying piece of shit and bad things won’t happen to you. it’s that easy.

women playing the pity card in court and lying their ass off with 0 repercussions happens constantly. it’s insane to me to see people’s takes on this. it’s insufferable.

[–]syedalired21 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I saw the trial everyday. The media coverage on major news sources was downright shambolic. They only presented Amber's side. And completely ignored all the evidence presented by Depps team and even how messed up Amber's witnesses were.

The media coverage for the trial is in itself a case-study on how the media continues to downplay mens issues

[–]dw87190 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

All I'm hear from these dickheads are "We're sorry we triggered you with the truth. It's misogynistic to hold women accountable, Johnny should've submitted to being her slave. Now the feminists are mad at us and we can't have that :("

[–]NeoNotNeo 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh the emotional labor they must have endured

Haven't lurked in this sub, but is this sub just about hating feminism?

[–]Proud_Ad_486 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminists are actually still defending Amber turd. They were so desperate to make sure their misandry isn't exposed that they even called Amber turd an imperfect victim.

[–]rabel111 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If the truth is so fragile, that any desent must be silenced, then there is no truth at all, just a web of unfounded beliefs. JD refused to be silenced, so he will be targeted by the feminist left without mercy for ever.
