A very harrowing article (NSFW, trigger alert. Seriously that may make you sick, you are warned) I have found recently, and translated myself, to post here most important parts of it.

I just wanted to bring attention, what was and is still going on not so far from EU border.

I have heared rumors about it, but this concentrated macabre is way too much that I expected.

English is not my native language, obviously, and formatting may be fucked up, because I post from mobile phone.

TLDR

Accounts of russian soldiers, about how other soldiers beat them, extort money for them, and force to become a gay-prostitutes. Military police and officers perfectly know about what is going on, but either do nothing, cover up the tracks or even profit from this, simultaneously silencing and repressing those who dear to speak.

The Text

According to the data of UN, Russia is one of the leading stated via numbers of soldiers, involved in prostitution and porn business. According to newspaper “Sobesednik”, soldiers in Russia have various reasons to become prostitutes. Part of them are forced into it, others do this on their own account (paying part of the earnings to have a right of going in and out of their base of disposition freely).Most of them are newly-recruited (main bulk of prostitute is composed of ex-students).

The even give “user feedbacks”, that advice to make a “sex-tour” around Moscow’s military base. Guardians on block posts can show you “photo albums”, so the “client” can choose a guy of their taste.  Prices can be anywhere from 100$ to 500$ per night.

In the interview one of the soldiers from Schelkovo said, that

When I was on my post, I was approached by “grandpas” (“grandpas” is a slang term for soldiers, that began their service a year before new recruits), who drag me by force into the storeroom. There every one of them fucked me. On the next day, many people in the disposition gave me side-looks. It was obvious that everybody knew about what happened. Then I was approached by an officer of my disposition, and said, “Tomorrow you will service two clients”. I understood that if I say “no”, I would be beaten into bloody pulp, but still declined. He threw photos in my face (“grandpas” filmed rape), and said, “If you refuse, I will send these to your mother”.

Other soldier, Ilya, became a prostitute at his second month of service. He had a letter from his girlfriend, and his sergeant did not like that Ilya did not let him read the letter first.

“He said that I won’t need girls anymore. For of them held me and dragged me beyond the barracks on an abandoned site. They put me down on my knees, tied me to a light pole, threw my head backwards, hit me in the groin several times, so that I lost any will to scream anymore, than they force-opened my mouth and skullfucked me in turns. When I regain my consciousness, I was on a bench, and they fucked me. I was begging them to stop, but it seems to arouse rapists even more. I blacked out. When I came to senses it was already evening. I was quarantined for three days. Than they did it again.” – said the soldier.

Some soldiers, not able to live after such an ordeal, just end their lives. Military commandership signs off these suicides as a case of “psychically-ill soldiers”.

In 2007 one soldier requested help from “Soldier’s mothers of St Petersburg” organization. His military disposition was almost at the center of St Petersburg, in literal two-minute walk from Armitage and Winter Palace.

According to him, aside from extortions, tortures via electric current, beating with metallic chairs, “grandpas” forced newbies to become prostitutes. “Grandpas” demanded money on regular basis. Moreover, if you had no money, they sent soldiers in the city – to beg for alms. If soldiers brought not enough, they beat them and offered to get money in “more easy” way – to become gay-prostitutes.

Mind, that, according to interview with ombudsmen Ruslan Linkov on the “Echo of Moscow” radio, generals and military police are perfectly aware of what was going on. High generals and FSS (Federal Security Service – analog of FBI in USA) officials were involved in creation of client-network. Some of them even were the clients themselves.

Moreover, these cases become more and more common. It is one of the leading causes of soldiers’ suicide. Psychologists say that this causes mental breakdowns and sever mental disorders.

Thing, that you will read up next is, alas, not a fiction story. It is a part of official report, which was sent to Eurocomission, UN, president and government of Russia.

Mother of soldier R. wrote to “Soldier’s Mothers of St Petersburg”, that her son, R. was absent from his disposition after his first 6 month of service. He was found later, and gave interview, which I will place next.

“First several days were okay-ish. Than soldier, P. announced to all newbies in the evening, that they have to give money to “grandpas”. Grandpas themselves did not ever extorted anything from newbies; we gave all money to P. than they began to extort cigarettes and booze. To get those, we had to go AWOL to get what they wanted. If you have no money, you had to go AWOL to get them. Every newbie had a grandpa assigned to him. Mine was G. He demanded money almost on a daily basis. From 50 R to 1000 R (at a time it was from 1.5 $ to 33 $. Mind you, adequate salary at that time in big cities was around 300-350$), also, they signed a date, when you have to give them money. That you had to get by that date. Somehow.

If I had no money, I went AWOL and helped to unload trucks. If I had no money, I was beaten. By all grandpas at once. They hit as with metal chairs. They tortured as with electric current. They used TA-57 (very old wire phone of 1957 year of production). They tied bare wires to your toes and rotated a handle, creating a current between wires. They made you stand still, which was impossible under current. Sensations were like spasms, and those who rotated the handle found it funny. They could wake you up at night and begin the torture. They did it to several people during one night. They made you do physical exercises, until they lost interest. If someone of the unit did something wrong, they punished whole unit. They made us hang between parts of the bed. They called it “dried crocodile.

Those, who failed to get money, went to Kate’s garden (park in St Petersburg) to work as prostitutes. Those, who had civil clothes, changed, others went in uniform. Everybody had a “client list”, who was known to anyone with a cell phone in the disposition. Of 70 people there were often like 30 on the base. Others went to “work”. There is zero discipline in the disposition. I managed to go to the store like four times in one night. Officers were perfectly aware about what is going on, because it was like that for years.

In addition, this is not a sole account of what happens there.

According to another soldier, N, with harrowing precision (this is only part of his multi-paged account):

First month was almost okay. Some soldiers went AWOL somewhere, returned with money. One day grandpas brutally beat me in dining room. Fifteen strikes with metallic chair on the head were enough to “persuade” me to take a mobile phone and a client-list. Than they tortured me with electricity to “get the lesson learned”. Officers seen this all, but did not give a shit about it.

Every day I had to call clients, offer my services, service them and get money from them. 1000R was mandatory given to eldest grandpa. Clients often drove to our disposition on their expensive cars, told a guy on a block post, what boy do they want for a night (height, body type, hair color, penis size). He rang to the security officer, who, in turn, woke up guys at night and sent to “work”. They left disposition through the main gate.

Soldier also mentions some of his clients

One of them was general-major in retirement. He had a picture of himself in general’s parade attre on his desk. When I was at his place first time, he said, that I am not the first for him. Our grandpas did this. And their grandpas. And their grandpas…it was going on for five-seven years.

Another one, an FSS colonel, took me into sauna. He got himself drunk, and complained about his life: “I made my son to avoid draft, and now he become ungrateful bastard! One day he likes, when his father rapes him, other day he dislikes when his father rapes him...”

Even sick soldiers from army hospital were made to work as prostitutes. Some cares came after them, and they had to jump over the fence in their hospital robes and sneakers, though it was winter.

Officials have no way not to know about it, because every night there are 10-15 people absent from the disposition. They have a cut in a profit from all this.

Military police has quite a detailed picture of what is going on, but they officially deny the accusations and complains, and try to silence any cases, if media catch them up.

“Soldier’s mothers of St Petersburg” tried to collect evidence. They sent a journalist in disguise, who followed soldiers, going AWOL from the disposition. Cars with shaded glass picked them all up. Then returned next morning.

There are even websites, dedicated to search and meet of “soldiers for night”. Here are some messages from one of them:

Why on earth nobody with half of a brain understands, that THEY ARE NOT SOLDIERS ANYMORE, they are prostitutes! Sex with guys in uniform is interesting, when they are freshly plucked from the block post! And they have no pimp to promote them! It is so exciting when a guy does this FOR THE FIRST TIME with a man, and both get FEVERISH from this!

1) 4000 R (133$) for 14-sentimeters “active” dick is, sorry, hilarious! My dead cat had bigger!

2) Have you ever “conversed” with trainees? None of them will ever admit to his folks, that he “converses” with gays! And here they are, in numbers, all from one disposition! Makes you think about who they are. Naughty boys!

3) Meh, now soldiers from Sverdlovsk do this too. However, comparing to trainees, they are shit, but demand 4000R as well. Long since, I have seen such a puny creatures in uniform!

Soldier’s Mothers of ST Petersburg tried to other guys, mentioned by N, but when they arrived in disposition, they have found, than both of them are absent. They were commissioned away to medical department.
