If you're a man reading this, just try to literally imagine being a woman and walking around. Suddenly, a good 50% of the population is now automatically stronger than you and can quite literally destroy you, assault you, or attack you at any moment. Does this mean men will? Of course not. But when you have that idea implanted in you, even a few bad experiences will suddenly start making you fear men much more than the other way around.

Every time you hear a man complaining about his issues, your first instinct is to dismiss since in your eyes, men are more powerful in every sense of the way, and the idea of a more powerful person complaining about anything simply doesn't register in your head.

And that is what needs to stop. Women shouldn't have to apologize for being more fearful of the stronger gender. Frankly, if I was a woman, I would be too. But the whole point of most fears is that very often are irrational. They are irrational in the sense that the vast majority of men you'll ever meet will NOT attack or demean you. The bad apples will stand out and the physical power difference will make them be remembered. It's the same reason why some men often downplay bad experiences (even assault) by women because women are seen as weaker even though in many cases women can be stronger.

Overall, the real debate that needs to take place is why people feel certain fears and whether they are rational or not. You can't simply say "well you shouldn't have to question your feelings". By that logic, all feelings are rational, and tomorrow, I can start hating or despising anyone I choose to. Almost noone would be fine with me waking up tomorrow and fearing/hating a person of a certain race, body type, weight, hair, etc. Why should this be accepted with men?
