Peterson is about building better Betas. That’s OK, because some guys need that. And I did sincerely enjoy his pimp slapping of Kathy Newman who richly deserved it. It was nearly as enjoyable as Dominik Tarczynski’s.

Intelligent guy in my opinion. He is almost there unlike many others. Down to earth, humble and if necessary also able to attack and defend in a disciplined matter.

As a counter example we would have Bill Maher. Full of himself. Aggressive for no reason. His brain is filled with stereotypical thinking patterns of which he cannot seem to escape. Anyone who attacks his view is automatically a dumb idiot in his eyes not worthy of being seen as human.

suffers in a few areas such as having too many opinions on too many subjects with too little knowledge such as climate change, stuck in the 20th century, cant let go of gynocentric thinking, doesnt follow his own lifestyle advice as he's a druggie

Honestly I don't understand what he says.His way of explaining is very twisting.

Sometimes I just watch his videos just to increase my english vocabulary.

Anyone wants to command english,watch his videos and take dictionary.

Jordan Peterson took me from red/black pill to white pill.

I watched like 90% of his content over a 3 year span. I rewatch them several times.

You would think you understand what he was talking about the 1st time listening. But you'll be surprise. After listening a 2nd or 3rd time, something new emerge.

His relationship advice is very sound. Relationship as in any relationship, platonic friendship, business or romantic. It would serve you well to take a listen.

I think he's a respectable professor. I like the fact he's more of a classic liberal while being touted as some 'alt-right' infiltrator to the Toronto academic scene.

I like how he lectures and he's very engaging - and he knows a lot of stuff.

But, it's when his voice cracks up when he's talking to people (especially young people) about the importance of meaning. And I do (personally) believe he's right in that society is very wrong to give people instead of a sense of purpose a "level card" on the Totem Pole of Oppression Olympics.

Certainly, governments that seek to garner the attention of socialist-leaning voters are going to have learned helplessness as a big teaching tool. If they can teach young future voters they are completely reliant on the government to make decisions for them and keep their lives in order, well, that's a very clever way of being politically successful.

I like how he took on the pronoun debate in the greater Gender War and called it out on a technicality. He already had admitted if personally asked by a given person to use a pronoun of their preference to address them he would do it. The man is psychologist and certainly not a transphobe. However, he believes in the vital importance of free speech especially in an environment such as a higher-level academic one where challenging people's beliefs is a fundamental requirement of the learning and growth process.

His detractors just say "Well, our stuff is peer reviewed by all of us here, and yours is not, so..." Oh wow, well that's not very productive. We're right and we say we're all right because we, as peers, have reviewed all of our collective stuff and wouldn't you know it. We're all 100% right. That just sounds intellectually dishonest, let alone logically incorrect.

Peterson was almost fired for his politically incorrect stance on the Pronoun Debate but his masterful handling of interviews with his triggery detractors were nothing short of brilliant. The Cathy Newman interview was probably the most meme-worthy event.

"So what you're saying is" is now a recognizable meme.

Peterson was asked in a different interview "what he is selling" and he said that he's not selling anything but offering people - young people - an invitation to skip the victim / oppression path and find value in their lives through pursuing meaning.

It's drawing large crowds and selling books.

12 rules and 12 more rules might sound like "just common sense" but in this day and age, such thinking is very contrarian to the latest "Society made you this way. You had no control. You're a victim of social conditioning, social constructions, opppression, patriarchy and capitalism."

REALLY? We're all these minions plugged into big machines with no control and NO ACCOUNTABILITY for how far (or not far) we've gone in life?

The left offers people just starting out a false promise. They show people how long and arduous the pathways to success are, and how they are rife with pitfalls and traps of inequality, oppression and games rigged by malevolent powers that be. Is this really a helpful way to get people to think? Or is it just a convenient way to get people to cling to your ideology?

Peterson is against this new "Oppression Olympics" game and so I am. I am raising champions. Not victims. My children are going to know their potential and I will give them every possible tool I can to help them turn their potential success into actual success. And I don't mean just monetary success. I mean mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health.

I think it's child abuse to tell kids "nothing is their fault" and then get them checking off the applicable boxes on the Intersectional Matrix of Oppression to see what social ills they need to be compensated for and how much.

On that, I agree with Peterson completely.

He gives good advice on how to navigate life. Guys just shouldn't get dating advice from him. After his interview on 'The Roomates' podcast where he said that the "women are right for not choosing you" (or something like that), it's clear he is out of touch with the modern SMP.

A bullshitting psychobabbler. Most ideas presented as "philosophical" are either hinged on semantics or so abstract they're useless. If you can't explain a concept with a few simple words, it's pretentious nonsense as is peterson's whole career. He talks in circles, rambling on and on about nothing, to remain ambiguous about whether he's a Christian for example.

He's a pretty smart guy in my opinion (not that it means much).

But he seems to go off on nonsensical tangents a lot. Like, he'll be talking about some statistics about criminology then start talking about Pinocchio and The Lion King and drawing weird parallels from those cartoons to those statistics.

I always felt this way, and after watching a pretty thorough breakdown of his tactics - ex. his habit of deflecting from direct questions by sharing metaphoric stories and parables. This 5 second clip from Joe Rogan’s podcast really encapsulates that.

Add to the fact that he seems to argue for keeping things the same aluding to a natural order of the world, it paints the picture of another internet hack that goes where the inflammatory money is, speaking on subjects he has little to no knowledge about.

There’s a lot of money in chatting shit that sounds intelligent on the internet.
