I don’t mean this as a CMV, just a personal observation. I am completely open to this not being the reality.

Something I realized a long time ago (thankfully), is that when women are speaking, many times they are just venting or just want to be heard and validated. They do not want input or solutions.

As men, this can be baffling to many of us. Most of the time when we have a problem, we are trying to solve it. So many of us try to do the same with our gfs/wives/female friends etc. only for it to backfire or lead into further frustration from her.

I think most men are only trying to help in this situation. But, if they were to realize this, it would be helpful to some of their struggles in their relationships.

-Have you also noticed this?

-If so, where do you think this stems from, evolutionarily speaking?

-Do women want us to speak/vent the same way to them? Or would it be a turn off? (This generally isn’t in our nature, as we’re usually just looking to solve or issues)
