A man can’t decorate for Christmas apparently. I posted some of the photos on Facebook and I keep getting IMs about how great my daughters did picking out decoration’s, lights, etc.

I'm not justifying. I promise. Because I understand what you're saying and that would be sexism, yes, but maybe it's that last pic that's throwing people off. Your two what I'm assuming daughters are there looking like they are the ones decorating.

This is on the level of women being offended by people assuming they don't fix their own cars. People make assumptions, and in the case of interior design and decoration, women are usually more interested in it and better at it. Just tell them you did it, and receive the praise.

No they helped but I picked everything out, figured out the best way to re arrange furniture, measured everything and it was like four trips between different stores.

I am super grateful my daughters and I did this together, but people and comments on other social media sites assume that the man who did 80/90 % of all the actual work is not engaged, or involved and didn’t do anything.

bro let others get wrecked!!! beautiful decorations and lovely idea. Among all the families i know, all decorations are chosen, bought and put up by the males and all through out everyone just keeps praising the wife for how lovely the choice was, or how beautifully it brings out the colour around!! and never not once i hear the wife say, it was "the husband" that did it all !!!! i have never heard the husband correcting the guests, but man do i see the pride and yet a tinge in his eyes!!!!

PEOPLE WHO JUST ASSUME, GO YEET YOURSELVES through the window, if not just ask who put it up, before just showering praises.
