Most states don't allow you to serve the other party personally. Not sure your jurisdiction or where you live. But, make sure that will qualified a service.

She knows it’s coming. Originally she was going to file but then we got into a scenario where it’s not “convenient “

I basically said I’m done playing your games because divorcing isn’t based on convenience.

Hate to hear another man going through this. I understand your wanting to serve her yourself but I recommend having a process server do it for you. Emotions will be high, and you could be at risk of false DV allegations if she goes off the deep end. Read about the situations which others in this place have found themselves. It is more common than most people realize. And the police won't care about the truth if she claims you assaulted her. You will be the one going to jail. Keep it as business like as possible and hire it done. If you decide to do it yourself, make sure you have witnesses and have them recording as it happens. Good luck.

With you 100% 👊🏼. I'm in a similar situation. I'm probably 1-2 months from having the final judgment submitted. I have no regrets other than not having done it years earlier. I've gone on several dates, and am about to go on a second one with a woman I really like. Not that it matters, but 10 years younger. 😉

Sometimes...It just gets to the point when you look up at yourself in a mirror and say, "I can't do this anymore." No judgment. Sounds like you're there. Good luck with everything.

Just make sure that you have a recording device to hand and film the entire interaction as she will go MAD when served. You don't want her to attack you then claim something else and land you in jail (seen it happen). Protect yourself at all times....and good luck!!!

If you are in the US, have a Sheriffs Deputy present when you serve her......Then haul ass on out of there.

I hear ya dude. Keep in mind tho in 2003 when you proposed she was probably the love of your life. Now, she's become a totally different person, where the rules have changed. Stay strong dude.

Confirm you can legally serve her. I assume your attorney would have said something, but in my state the petitioner can not serve the defendant.
