We owe several thousand dollars to our D3's pre-school. It has always been my SBTX's responsibility to pay for this tuition. We are now past due, the school has suspended our D3 from attending and I am in fear that they are going to dismiss her entirely. The kicker is, we've already paid 2/3's of the tuition this year and whether our D3 attends or not, we are both liable for paying the balance according to the contract we signed.

SBTX is tapped out financially. She attempted to make me the "primary" account holder and unlinked her bank account from the payment portal. She has also requested that I sell the house immediately (my reply; not without a settlement). She is also now claiming that I "need daycare" and that she could handle taking care of D3 fulltime, unlike me. I am inclined to pay this tuition, because A) I am still liable for it B) balance is still owed, whether D3 attends or not C) it will be cheaper than a babysitter (even if only on my weekdays). My only concern is that I want to ensure this debt comes out of marital funds in the end and that it does not come bite me in the ass at the end.
