I'm not sure, but they don't seem eager to take the mantle of basic infrastructure, as we have.

What they call rights for women are actually privileges. Feminists use word manipulation strategy to fool the world. The reason this strategy works for them but for the others is because of their extreme unity, multi-organizations and a whole gender studies department to produce biased studies to back them up. Not to mention the sisterhood in media who give them a spotlight.

This is a pretty good article encompassing historical and modern goals of feminists movements. Right now the focus is really pushing for political equality and reproductive rights in the Middle East along with really discussing how contraceptives and the ability to choose their future with kids shouldn’t be a choice taken away.

This article only focuses on inequalities and movements for women, it will not mention men (yes I understand that men face social injustices as well and deserve the attention to fix it).

the fact that you think we are equal just proves how privileged your place in our society is. i envy you, i wish i was that privileged too

the “rights” we fight for nowadays transcend what can be changed on paper. is not a thing that women have it harder in theory. but is the mindset that the system plants in our minds since we are very young that makes it seem as if the unfair treatment that women receive is normal. and that is what we are trying to change.

try to enjoy something as a girl. you like pink? you are a pick me. you like superheroes? you want men’s validation. you like videogames? clearly to appeal to men

then it goes on with the choices on your body. you don’t shave? no man will ever want you. you don’t exercise? you should, men will like you more. why are you cutting your hair? men like women with long hair better.

and more stupid stuff like that. believe it or not, every woman has been told many similar things throughout her life. our entire existence has to be related to men somehow, we can’t be our own person without bringing men into it, most of the time. men have even found a way to make the feminist movement about themselves, as if feminists are all “women who hate men”

this is just one example of how we are different at a social level. knowing the people on this sub, you are all probably going to think that what im saying is stupid. i don’t expect you to understand

Legally speaking, women do have equal rights in many countries. Obviously, feminism is needed in countries that don't have equal rights though. Just look at the Taliban for example, women have been banned from attending university.

I think it is ignorant to suggest that women have equal rights and don't need feminism just because the women that you personally know aren't affected by sexist laws - sexism exists in this world.
