So I made the mistake of looking at Menslib again, notably a good old Jordan Peterson pile-on. Lots and lots of accusations with evidence very thin on the ground. But the takeaway is JP is a horrible person and any good he has done is irrelevant because he is an *-ist.
There was also on that thread someone talking about Bell Hooks, who seems to have a lot of problematic views on black men, to quote:
I read We Real Cool and it soured me on her, she said that black men were more interested in fathering children than raising them, that we'd rather listen to hip-hop instead of the blues because we're emotionally stunted morons, that we commit crimes because we're too lazy and impatient to earn money the right way. She clearly had an axe to grind with black men.
Why does she not deserve the same ire as JP, as if he said that he would be weapons grade cancelled? Is it because she is black? But then that doesn't explain why all the female MRA's are so problematic if being a member of the group inoculates you to criticism?
You can go all-in and look at Donna Hylton, Woman's March keynote speaker, who literally raped a man to death with a rusty pole. She's absolutely fine and certainly worth listening to though. Let her tell you about how unfair prison is for women. Not to mention #killallmen and the endemic, proud, misandry of the current feminist movement.
I think the key here is the feminists have to pathologise people who are against them and turn them in to bad people as they cannot deal with their ideas. It is interesting how we will dismiss people because their ideas are crap without merit, but the opposition will dismiss ideas because of problems with the speaker - and there will always be problems with the speaker. They are simply unable to argue the points as largely there is no substance behind their points apart from blind faith.
I'm not sure what my point is here, but it is an interesting observation. If I wasn't going to get banned outright I'd ask them if there are any MRA's that are not horrible people, and why misandry and racism are absolutely fine as long as the speaker has the correct politics, and why that is. We all know what would happen though, with those troublesome ideas.
