Hi RPChristians,

I would like to seek your guidance on the following question please: How do I understand my role and mission as a man and patriarch of my family in relation to the Holy Trinity?

Background: I am member of Married RP. I'm a father and husband. Not currently religious (but somewhat familiar with the bible and church from childhood).

Context: I've been contemplating my life's mission for 10+ years. In my early 20s, my mission was simply to have fun and enjoy life. As I got older, this mission seemed increasingly shallow and empty. So, in my mid-20s, my mission was deepened and made more robust: I sought to become competent (at my job) and life (own a house, car, etc). In my late 20s, once I had kids, my mission re-centered around being a father (to the exclusion of everything else). I realize now (largely thanks to RP), that only focusing on being a good father is insufficient in itself (and leads to trouble in life).

My current Mission is "Dignity. Congruence. Excellence." This mission is purposely self-centered, but not selfish, as I see that I need to better myself for the betterment of my family (by family I mean the spirit of husband, wife, and children, and not merely a group of individuals living under the same roof). This Mission is sufficient for where I am currently in my personal development journey. However, I recognize that even this mission will soon be inadequate (and that it's missing something that even closer to the core of Truth), but I simply cannot quite articulate or understand it. However, I do know that this truth is something to do with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and that I need to start my journey to transcend my current self-centered mission for something greater (but again, I'm not sure what exactly it is or how it manifests, but I know its there).

I've done my homework. I've read and watched videos on the Holy Trinity, but much of it doesn't speak to the essence of my questions. I imagine a JBP lecture would answer my questions, but unfortunately he hasn't made a lecture pertaining specifically to the Holy Trinity (unless Logos is the Holy Trinity?). The essence of my questions is: is the optimal life as a man and patriarch achieved through becoming the embodiment of Holy Trinity?

Thank you for your time and any specific resources (specific posts, youtube videos, lectures, etc) or direction on what I could do to start my journey in search of this answer.
