Geez, and he's defending her after she assaulted him. He's definitely got that abuse victim mentality going.

[–]onlyidiotsgoonreddit 32 points33 points34 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sound like another abuser who secured an order of sole custody from a family law judge, then proceeded to abuse her child and expose the child to abuse.

If women continue to be guaranteed huge sums of money for abusing kids in this way, it is certain they will never stop. And imagine if it were not recorded- she would have claimed she was the abuse victim, and a judge would have given her what she wanted. Just like they did when she demanded custody and money.

To be fair, “she’s been through a lot after getting caught cheating on her ex husband who divorced her after finding out” Basically his reasoning. SIMP!

[–]LordGraygem 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If he was just some random idiot on sidelines offering that? Sure, okay, simp. If he wasn't on the receiving end of thrown hands (and chairs)? Yeah, that'd be simping too.

But in this specific instance, with him getting hit--and probably not for the first time either, abusers are never one-and-done and thrown furniture is usually an escalation as well--it's absolutely a victim making excuses for why they deserved to be hit and it's totally not the fault of the person who did it.

[–]Extreme-You6235 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You make a valid point. Hell, she’s probably manipulating him into believing her behavior is beyond her control and not a true representation of who she actually is. Regardless, if he refuses to see past her ruse then he’ll remain a victim. I’m sure he has many people in his life urging him to leave this psychotic monster of a woman.

[–]LordGraygem 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m sure he has many people in his life urging him to leave this psychotic monster of a woman.

I would hope so, but considering how male abuse victims are typically treated? He's (sadly) much more likely to have people filling his ears with shit about how he needs to tough it out, how he's the man and it's his "job" to endure this treatment, she a woman and nothing she does to him can be as bad as what a man can do to a woman, etc.

Edit: I would like to clarify (if it's needed) that I don't know for certain that he's being abused. It's entirely supposition on my part based on the fact that people who raise their hands to their partners generally have an established history of doing so, and the violence level required to merit police attention is almost always part of a steady escalation on the abuser's part.

Days after the arrest, Dakota defended Taylor, telling the Daily Mail in an article published Feb. 23, "She never hurt anyone intentionally" and "We didn't argue."

He continued, "I don't even want the truth to come out. She's so broken right now. I tried to help her. She's a good mom, she's going through a lot in her life right now. Taylor's been struggling, it's been a hard year for her. She is racked with guilt on her cheating scandal that cost her her marriage."

Reverse the genders and he would still be in jail, not PPD

Simp simpity simp simperoooooooo

[–]LordGraygem 36 points37 points38 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No man, that's not simping. And calling it that is no better than people claiming that men can't be abused.

Holy shit. This woman takes absolutely 0 accountability for anything. Get caught cheating, "we played with fire and got burned." Then beat up her dude about it and some how she's having a hard time and "going through a lot" with her own fucking cheating scandal. And she's an "influencer."

[–]Revolutionary_Age987 90 points91 points92 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I believe the correct spelling of influencer is: attention whore.

participating in a "soft swinging" group with other members in the Mormon MomTok community

is not a sentence I ever expected to read

[–]MysticalMike1990 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

An aspect of Mormonism still practices polygamy and sister-wiving, it's a discreet norm for FLDS

[–]PFgeneral 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

That is not same as 'swinging"

[–]MissAugustMoon 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So damn different it’s almost an oxymoron

[–]MysticalMike1990 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What about one of these dudes claiming to be a prophet in their church and telling all the other parishers that they have to give up their daughters and wives to this guy in "legal"marriage, they have a habit of taking that swinging pendulum and just pushing it one way.

[–]PFgeneral 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That sounds like a cult and that guy should be arrested.

[–]EnvironmentalValue18 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why does she look like she's transforming into a Bratz Doll?? Becoming a more common sight by the day.

[–]heartofatexan 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She can be the first prison influencer showing the different ways to look good in an orange jumpsuit. I don’t care about your tough year. You created your own destiny by being violent around your children and deviant in your marriage. If she was caught, this isn’t your first time.

[–]RatDontPanic[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

LOL how true!

[–]Ill_Drop7588 30 points31 points32 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I know what it's like to be him. After a while you feel like you deserve it. Once the abuser is done with you. They'll toss you to the side once they start cheating. When you leave away from them permanently. The abuser tells everyone what THEY did but say it was YOU to play victim.

[–]RatDontPanic[S] 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And furthermore she does this because she knows the world laughs at male victims.

[–]PedroAlvarez 28 points29 points30 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This website really helped illustrate what she did by assaulting me with ads.

[–]SdDprsdSnglDad18 33 points34 points35 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

[–]AnApexBread1 points 3 years ago* [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

I have no idea who this person is or why she's important enough to write an article on.

And unfortunately this news article didn't bother explaining any of that to me.

[–]mesablue 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And, we're all better off for not knowing.

[–]MarvelousOxman 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Clearly when a woman strikes you with a metal weapon or is throwing stuff at you the only appropriate response is to gently wrestle it away from her, making sure she doesn’t get hurt in the process and tell her how beautiful she is and how valid her feelings are. Also apologize afterwards because you probably deserve whatever beating you were getting.

[–]RatDontPanic[S] 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Problem is after all that, you might still wind up in jail for being the victim if you're male.

[–]Griftersdeuce 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What a shit website! There's so many popups you can see about 1/4 of the screen at best.

0/10 would not click again

[–]Nukedogger86 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She clearly knocked the sense out of him with that metal stool. Her hardship of a year because of a divorce was because she cheated on her husband. If she cheats, she belongs to the streets.

Honestly these Instagram and TikTok thots need a wake up call. They aren't special. Take away their filters, and makeup, you have an average looking woman with a shit personality.

[–]wolfman1911 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He continued, "I don't even want the truth to come out. She's so broken right now. I tried to help her. She's a good mom, she's going through a lot in her life right now."

Dude, she hit her kid with a metal bar stool while she was trying to beat you with it. The hell she is a good mom. I don't consider my ex wife a particularly good mom, but she's managed to keep from hitting our kids, even on accident.

A Dakota and a Taylor, surprised it didn't work out.

[–]One_Hour_Poop 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I lost interest halfway through the article and when i got to the phrase "Taylor was hitting Dakota" I tried to figure out based on the names "Taylor" and "Dakota" who was the man and who was the woman, but i couldn't.

[–]Grammar-Notsee_ 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You didn't actually get as far as the second paragraph then?

Several criminal charges, including child abuse, have been filed against TikToker Taylor Frankie Paul following her arrest over an alleged Feb. 17 confrontation with her boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

[–]One_Hour_Poop 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think my eyes glaze over and start involuntarily rolling at the words "TikToker" which makes it difficult to read. 😀

[–]Spirited-Road-4345 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Forcetobereckonedwit -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

PPD!

[–]Samurai_IX 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Why is that always the excuse?

[–]4gotOldU-name 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because it is nearly impossible to refute this "get out of jail card", so it's used as needed.

Of course, her "cheating scandal" must have also been PPD. Isn't that how it works, too?

[–]BreakerSoultaker 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The minute I saw the names “Taylor” and “Dakota” I stopped reading. Those aren’t the names of people you waste time knowing about.
