Ah, the crazy and the paranoid.

Because when among a large group of people, it is entirely normal to fantasize about the way they could all suddenly turn on you and hurt you. For instance, I went to the Tulsa fair last months. Anyone there could have pulled out a shotgun and turned my face into hamburger. And yet, that thought didn't occur to me until today, and would never in a million years be something I would account for in my personal plans. Because I am not a crazy person.

I find it interesting not only that some of the answers are about women saying the do feel insecure in certain situations only because they don't know the men arround her, but also the percieved assumption that every woman feels unsafe in this situation, or even "at any given time".

PLEASE, abtain to make any comment in the original thread. I posted it because it's interesting to see the concepts some people take for granted ( /u/thetylerh seems to assume every woman feels this way), and the answers of people.

If I'm surrounded by people I don't know, I'm wary. Due to a bad experience, I use my confirmation name if a guy gets really demanding about asking my name. I don't get drunk around people I don't know.

On the flip side, I wear whatever I want when I go out, because I've been creeped on in sweats and a t shirt. I know that 99.9% of guys don't even notice me and are going about their daily life, just like me. I'm not going to live in fear because of a couple creeps, but i am going to act quickly and decisively to avoid someone who's being a creep.
