Pregnant "Equalities Minister": It's sexist to be offered a seat

The idea that just because she is seven months pregnant she has lost all ability to stand on her two feet or fend for herself is quite sexist.

I had no idea this was the sort of rampant oppression women were facing.

All men have are higher suicide rates, lower graduation rates, harsher sentencing, few social resources, and generally being viewed as worthless and disposable. Oh and having their genitals mutilated at birth which people find perfectly acceptable.

All of which seems rather trivial compared to the very real rapression of being offered a seat. I was wrong. Men's rights shouldn't be a thing. I will become a feminist until the day women are freed from the horror of ever being offered a seat.

Um... It's called common courtesy. Not sexism. If I were pregnant too as a guy, I would not mind sitting down if I were offered a seat.

The title of this post is not at all what was said in the article. The MP clearly stated that offering her a seat is not sexist. She (or at least "a source close to her") said that people being outraged that she WASN'T offered a seat is sexist.

She's saying that she has no right to demand special treatment just because she's pregnant. That seems to fit right in with most MR philosophy, right? I don't see the problem here.

This is shitty sensationalist "journalism" and you're falling for it.

Actually, I think this woman gets it. Here's another time she mentioned offering women free seats:

She opposes positive discrimination to address gender imbalance, and famously led the argument against positive discrimination to select her party's candidates at their national party conference in 2002, wearing a pink T-shirt inscribed with the slogan, "I am not a token woman".

This lady (source close to minister) is dumb. I give up my seat to pregnant women, the disabled or motor-impaired, and families on a regular basis. Why? Because they could use the seat a lot more than me.
