I was a student in a public speaking course taught by this woman. Besides every class being a soapbox for airing trivial grievances (counting the number of pictures of men vs. women in the newspaper, complaining about the symbols used on restrooms to distinguish gender), she made the class as difficult as possible for men, while simplifying assignments for women.

She would pick names from the role of our class of about 150 to answer questions on the spot. She would consistently ask the women extremely easy questions which often merely required repeating what she had just said, while putting the men through the wringer with extremely vague and often unanswerable questions given the scope of the course and the text.

I felt I had to drop the class after I surprised her during one of her tirades. We all knew she was getting ready to ask one of her "man-trap questions", and was reading men's names off of the role. Nobody wanted to be her victim, so she read name after name, cackling that the men were "scared of her" and "a bunch of cowards." Expecting that no man in the room would dare respond to her open challenge, she called my name next and I correctly answered her question (can't remember what it was). She was so incredibly shocked that I stopped her blatant shaming that she turned the deepest shade of tomato red I have ever seen on a human face while I spoke, and stood frozen for about 5 seconds afterwards. From that day on she began to sabotage my grade. I could not get more than D on a speech, despite the fact that it was literally my profession to give presentations for several years previous to this course.

Our grades were determined largely by her personal evaluation of our presentations throughout the semester. Without fail, she picked apart every single male's presentation (sometimes cackling at them), sharing almost only negative comments (which were often either untrue or insignificant) while congratulating and giving endless praise to women for even the worst of speeches (even when they froze and had to be coaxed to finish). Grades were not openly shared, but it seemed pretty clear that the only good grades went to the women.

To make it even more clear how biased she was in her grading, the class was largely split into groups of 17-18 year-old freshmen women, and 26-29 year-old men with significant professional and academic experience. This was due to the school making the class required for several advanced science and masters programs they had recently added. Obviously you would treat these two groups differently given the gap of experience, but she acted in ways most sane adults would consider highly malicious.

The trouble with proving misandry is she would change her tone if any other member of the faculty were present. When they were absent, she would constantly employ manipulation and shaming tactics to berate all the men in the room. She would use a threatening tone whenever she spoke to the men, and would make every effort to embarrass us.

She would know it was me if I sat in her class and filmed her, and she won't act out in front of other faculty. I'm not even sure video evidence would be enough, given that it might require an entire semester's worth of video to establish a pattern. Even then, the school might be too embarrassed to do anything about it.
