A woman has accused me (via text) of forcing her to kiss me (not true). I think she may be a scammer of some sort. What are my rights? How do I protect myself?

She could just be mentally unstable. If this is the case it may well be the best strategy not to escalate the conversation with legal threats. I used to work as a hotel receptionist and sometimes had to deal with quite crazy women. My first instinct was to act as a authority and try and bring them to account and tell them their behaviour was unacceptable. This approach worked well for men but not for women. It was only watching other staff members deal with situations like this I learned that its much better to empathise and move on.

For example you could say. I'm sorry you feel this way, this isn't my recollection of events at all. I think we better leave this. Regards Dave etc

And if she keeps texting say something like: I'm having a very busy few weeks at work and I'm pretty stressed please could you not text me anymore. Thanks dave.

If she makes any actual threats rather than insinuations I would speak to a laywer or go to the police. Like others are saying, make sure you document what is happening to you. Also make sure you get the support you need, this stuff can be very stressful to handle on your own.

I doubt she's a scammer or writing a book, sounds more like she has some kind of narcissistic personality disorder leading to her being dishonest and then fantasising and wanting to create drama. You should always get out at the first sign of dishonesty, it's never acceptable.
