Imagine if research universities had a "Conservative Studies" major. In this major and department, a bunch of conservative professors would research topics concerning conservatism and the individuals within the conservative movement, and promulgate writings that are right-wing. Conservative college students would take these classes, and a few liberals would also enroll themselves in order to immerse themselves into a class that offers a different perspective on political and social issues.

What if this was a reality? People would be flipping out over tax-payer dollars and school resources fueling ideological professors and a department that hides behind the cloak of a "study". There would be petitions to drive this department out of the university. It would get national attention.

Now, I'm not a conservative, by any means, but it is interesting to parallel theoretical "studies" to that of already established "studies." I am not talking about Political Science, which is not inherently ideological and is well-established and respected soft science, but, rather, certain other departments...
