Wow... physically and emotionally abusive mother coerces her daughter to levy false rape charges against her own father, sending him to jail for 15 years. Everybody look at the rape culture and feel guilty for being male!

In a more serious question: is there a statute of limitations on filing false police reports and perjury? The mother probably would get off scotfree anyways, but I'm wondering if there's even a possibility of legal prosecution there.

Isn't it said when the perpetrator of a crime has to beg the legal system to stop abusing the victim? There is no other crime like this.

In the article, where is the discussion of prosecuting the mother? I mean, they discuss the odds of the guy getting out of prison (not as likely as it should be) they talk about the girls guilt (9 year old with physical abuse being threatened if she didn't do this thing), but nowhere is there any word on what is being done to Mom.

Am I missing something?
