Women (including waitresses) expect males to pay the bill generally. This is real sexism.. imagine being a male working full time in a min wage job with a girlfriend who makes much more money then you do.(extremely unlikely a wealthy woman would have a working poor boyfriend, I know, but it happens, rarely.) and not being the one to foot the bill? Imagine being expected to pay the bill and when you don't .. your belittled socially. A loser. Imagine how shitty it makes him feel .. though he's a "starving artist" I guess that makes it ok. (edit: starving artist, isn't actually working poor but would have the same effect I suppose.)

IMO r/feminism is over regulated .. firstly and as a result of that you get a very limited idea of what "feminism" is about based on what is allowed to be expressed.. certainly decent is not approved of. This is a sign of bad science .. one that does not abide by the scientific method .. they deal in absolutes.
