I was debating with a young girl I know who was trying a lot of appeals to emotion about how she's afraid to be raped, and men don't take her seriously, and when I tried to explain that a lot of men have very similar types of fears, she tried the "patriarchy hurts men too!" Line on me.

And she said she got 10 points in and was "filled with white hot rage at how stupid people can be" and refused to debate anymore.

I was just trying to get her to see the other side, and I feel like I failed utterly.
