The 90's aren't exactly the Dark Ages...

More recent studies consistently show that the name on resume effects the probability of it being responded to. Esepecially against "black-sounding" names.

It's safer to hire a man in this day and age because you know he's never going to sue you for gender discrimination.

Women are a liability to employers.

Its not sexist to bypass women and hire men, businesses are open to make money and to replace a employee due to paternity leave is expensive so a lot will play it safe and hire men because men will make it a career and stay for x amount of years.

In a business setting who would you rather have ? A man that stays 10-20yrs or a woman that stays x amount of time then leaves the workforce because of pregnancy ?

It sucks to have gender bias but its here and true cause money talks.
