I'm confused. Who's do you suggest is saying men are supposed to be unemphatic? Society or MRA's?

There have been studies that have suggested that women are more empathetic than men. This doesn't really say anything about the nature of the sexes, though. In my opinion, I think we raise boys to eschew empathy as being "girly". We teach boys to act instead of feel, which is all well and good until they grow up to be emotionally stunted individuals.

So, are men supposed to act as if they have no empathy? It depends on who you ask, but society at large sure as hell encourages it. Should that be the case? No, I don't think so.

Empathy is learned through experiencing pain. Not through being empathized with.
