It's targeting young women who have just got their licence, of course it's sexist. There's a reason why advertising aimed at 18-25 year old women has this "empowerment" vibe to it - it's because they're at an insecure stage of their lives and they respond well to material that encourages confidence.

So, wait, equality is unfair to women?

We don’t think this is fair as we know young women are safer drivers than young men.

There is no data cited for this. A quick Google search revealed 2 articles from 2011 and 2012 which cited studies showing women are more dangerous behind the wheel than their male counterparts.

I stopped at just those two points. There were some more ridiculous points there as well. So, yes this sexist.

This is probably off topic, but why are women charged less than men for insurance? Men are statistically safer drivers, aren't they? So why would a profit seeking firm like an insurance agency charge the more risky drivers less?

EDIT: I just looked up the statistics, and women are supposedly safer drivers in multiple categories. So then, on the other hand, why is there fuss about men getting charged more by a profit seeking firm that is based on playing the odds with large sets of people?
