Private business can do what they want. They obviously have a very high number of paranoid women, and this makes them feel more secure.

I would at least write a letter about this. Frame it as a threat to young boys, and point out that several young boys have been molested by adult women recently. Also frame it as an equality issue. Don't attack or criticize.

Imo, it wouldn't bother me, but if a woman "accidentally" walked into the men's room, I'm suing the crap out of that place because they proved they could have prevented that.

It's paranoia. I mean, what is the rate of occurrence of men going into women's locker rooms to get some raping in? I'd reckon it's insanely low. If women are really worried about that low chance of a dude doing that, why would they even leave their home? If they are going to give into paranoia at any turn, why not just remove themselves from society. The only way to be 100% safe is to stay locked in a bunker somewhere. Risk assessment and acceptance is an important part of life, and the risk of guys running into the lady's locker room is just too low to throw a fit over.

To be fair, like others are saying, I think your gym is just cashing in on that illogical fear to get membership high. You could request male cards to enter the male bathroom due to cases you've heard of where women have gotten away with peeping and harassing men.
